I believe it's essential for brands to pay close attention to how their products are displayed in stores, as it directly impacts the customer experience and, as you pointed out, the potential for product damage. An attractive and, more importantly, a functional merchandiser /that should be tested multiple times before being installed in store) can make all the difference. This is a great example of how even small details in packaging and presentation can significantly influence consumer choices.
I just noticed this merchandiser being used in a Target in Charlotte, NC, where I happen to be for another exciting eye tracking adventure. I've noticed Ghetto Gastro before and I've been curious to give it a try. As I struggled to pull the package out of the merchandiser, I noticed quite a few damaged packages. Almost all boxes from their brand and even some of the shorter pop tart boxes beside them. This isn't a great merchandiser for these boxes, I hope there isn't a lot of waste because of merchandising difficulties, but I would bet most people would pass on these boxes since the product inside is very likely damaged. I'd suggest a much less rigid plastic in the front or much shorter?

As a merchandiser, I do believe that proactivity can make our work more pleasurable and helps reaching the objective easier. Taking the initiative, predicting customer demands, and streamlining procedures and results are all components of proactive merchandising. We can use this to measure our development and concentrate on the things that are most essential. >> We should ask supervisors, coworkers, and customers for their opinions. This will help us identify our areas of improvement and learn from our mistakes >> We should observe the most recent developments and trends in our sector. By doing this, we may maintain our competitive edge and provide unique and intriguing goods and services to the customers. >> We have to take accountability for our deeds and outcomes.
