I sat down yesterday to write out the Pros and Cons of using the #OpenToWork Badge on LinkedIn and how it affects Job Seekers. Especially Before and After Landing a Job on LinkedIn. While writing down my observations, it dawned on me that some people actually don't know about The Service Page Section on LinkedIn. Okay, what does the service page do and how can it help you earn even while working for a company? Simple. Your Service page contains a list of the services you offer. They are mostly things you can do as a side-hustle or gig even while doing your 9-5 job. How Does It Work? Simple. When you upload all your services on the page, you'll easily be able to show up on any search result. By that I mean, when a LinkedIn user is in need of people who offer similar services like yours, LinkedIn will draw them to your account and once they find you, they'll request for your services. I've been receiving similar requests too. Well, there you have it. If you like to earn from different sources, I'm certain you'll love this one. If you want me to discuss other challenges you face on LinkedIn, kindly shoot me a DM and I'll get on it immediately. Yours in Service, #linkedinmigrationofficer

What if LinkedIn profile badges could say MORE about who we are…when we land on someone’s profile, we immediately get a sense of what they do and how they show up in the world. We have #OpenToWork and #Hiring badges, but what if we had more ways to showcase what we're looking for, what we’re offering, and how we want to connect? Like- #MentorAvailable #PartnershipVibes #BrainstormingBuddy #RemoteNinja #SpeakerSpotlight #LookingForCollaborations #RemoteReady #SpeakerAvailable #OpenToFreelance #AcquisitionStrategist,#DealCloser AND Custom badges :) Would these badges help you connect faster and more intentionally 🤔 ? LinkedIn thoughts ? Is it already in future feature addition? #LinkedIn #Linkedinbadges FlairDev

Activated the "All LinkedIn Members" feature, hoping to expand my network. But instead of recruiter connections, I'm getting bombarded with messages – and they seem like scams! :)). Anyone else (that is looking for a new opportunity and activate the badge) experiencing this? After I switched my settings to the first option, I barely get contacted by them anymore. Hmm.. #linkedinmembers #lookingforwork #opentowork #opportunity #scam #messages

I'm a little confused with peoples negative thoughts around the Linkedin 'Open to Work' banner. I seem to be having the same conversation regarding this banner - there is clearly a stigma surrounding the 'open to work' banner. If your available and don't need to keep your job search a secret... 💡 DO use the green 'open to work' badge! Let me tell you, when I spot that badge, I immediately click through to see how I can assist. When I am searching for candidates that badge gives you fantastic visibility! The more eyes on your profile, the greater your chances of stumbling upon that perfect opportunity. #OpenToWork #VisibilityMatters #CareerOpportunities #hrjobs

"Open to work" LinkedIn calls it "A Badge", I call it "A Phase". Trust me it brought a different confidence in me when I entered this phase. It made me more proactive, eager to connect, visiting various platforms, filling various forms and what not. Teams invite : Recently, a 15-minute call scheduled for 2 pm got cancelled at the last minute, throwing me off balance. I had another call scheduled for an hour at 3 pm after 2 days. This time, I was ready for anything, even if it meant no one showed up. Thankfully, this time the call went smoothly, leaving me grateful for the experience. I think I'm more indebted for that 15 min call as I learned a lesson that day: "Always prepare for the best but be ready for the worst" 🙂 #callschedule #cancelledevent #preparedness #15mincall #opentowork #lesson #bestandworst #teamscall #teamsinvite #experience
