Full endoscopic L4/5 TLIF for grade I spondylolisthesis A 44 year old patient presented with severe leg pain and reduced mobility over 2 years. It is possible to reduce the slip with endoscopic cage placement and percutaneous pedicle screw insertion. The power of minimally invasive surgery, demonstrated here can be offered in selected cases. Admittedly, alternatives such as ALIF and XLIF, which I also practice, have a definite role in the management of these or more complex degenerate cases. #endoscopic spine surgery, # MIS spine surgery

Spinal reconstruction surgery is a specialized procedure designed to correct spinal deformities, stabilize the spine, and relieve pain associated with various spinal disorders. This complex surgery may involve spinal decompression, vertebral alignment, fusion, artificial disc replacement, and the use of internal fixation devices like rods, screws, or plates. It's often recommended for conditions such as spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis, severe deformities like scoliosis, vertebral fractures, spine trauma, and even to correct previous, unsuccessful spine surgeries. #SpineInnovation #HealthySpine #SpineSurgeon #SpineRehabilitation #PaducahKentucky

The therapeutic management of NF2 patients is challenging. Patients with NF2‐related VS and profound bilateral HL may benefit from cochlear implantation for extended periods, even after treatment or in cases of large tumors. Given the poor outcomes reported after ABI, cochlear implantation should be proposed as the first‐line therapy in patients with a preserved cochlear nerve. All the details of the cohort of the center of Auditory Implants of La Pitié-Salpêtrière (Paris) are published in Otolaryngol Head Neck Surgery. https://lnkd.in/eUKNzdNg #cochlearimpalnt #NF2

We usually see the spine through the #prism of the techniques that we master. I understood that #Spine #Endoscopy has completely #revolutionized my practice when i noticed that during the last week, out of the 19 patients operated on for degenerative pathologies, 14 were operated on endoscopically. All the others by anterior approaches ( #ALIF #ACDF #XLIF #XALIF ) #UBE surgeries in the last 8 days: 3 lumbar disc herniations 3 lumbar laminectomies 1 lumbar foraminotomy 1 cervical foraminotomy + discectomy 1 dorsal laminectomy 2 cervical laminectomies 3 #TLIF fusion Why continue to open the posterior column (apart from deformation surgery) when we have such powerful tools as the anterior approaches and posterior endoscopy? In my opinion, combining them multiplies their strength. Spine Research Community

#ClinicalStudy part 4: In the retrospective, single-centre cohort study by Lang et al.*, only 4.2% of the 96 patients underwent revision surgery after dorsoventral stabilization of traumatic fractures of the thoracic and lumbar spine. In no case was a revision necessary due to the distractable vertebral body replacement obelisc.
