Logistical solutions for drayage, reefers, dry van, and box truck freight. Excellence in service and communication.
Being your own boss is awesome, but based on the messages/questions I receive on the interest in being an independent agent or owning a freight brokerage, I have come to the conclusion that some may not quite grasp the reality of taking on this career path. Being self employed DOES come with a lot of benefits. - More time with family - Potential for financial freedom - Freedom to work from wherever you want - You are your own boss - You make the calls on how you want to market yourself and your services The list goes on. However....being an agent means that not only are you technically self employed....but if you have a book of business...YOU ARE EMPLOYED BY MANY. In a sense, you are their logistical problems department, and you were hired as part of their team, to solve those issues. So you do need to go about your work accordingly. When you're approaching a prospect...you SHOULD evaluate and ask questions according to how you would apply for a position. If you're hired, you still need to ask the questions, and go about your process as if you work there too. A good business partnership should feel like you are an extension of their work culture. If this isn't what you were expecting as an agent, and the thought of being employed at more than one company makes you crawl out of your skin.. I would advise against signing up for this. #freightbroker #selfemployed #beingyourownboss #logistics #logisticssolutions #freightagent #freight #trucking #sales #business #bookofbusiness

Logistics professional/ Heading Recruitment of Freight agents for HD Ships♟️ player/ problem solver/ Co host of 2 dawgs 1 pod.
I gambled pretty heavily as a freight broker. I also gamble pretty heavily as a recruiter, and I am grateful I have the ability to do that. If I want to give someone a shot I have ownerships support to do it. I’ve had peope with 5+ years experience who have been saving up for months to be an agent tell me other agent programs won’t give them a shot because they don’t have a transferrable book, and I don’t like that. I take a lot of risks on who I give a chance to. If someone knows what they are getting into and wants to try it, more than likely I’ll give them a shot. Not always but most of the time. Out of the 16 or so agents I’ve brought on since May 7/16 are moving freight. So about 50/50. Don’t get me wrong I’ve brought on agents who are making 5 figures weekly, but I’ve always brought on agents who haven’t made it. A lot didn’t work out, some that aren’t moving freight I still think will work out long term. I share this because the best hires aren’t always going to be the slam dunks. They will remember who gave them a shot though. #sales #logistics #trucking #recruiting

Helping W-2 Logistics Sales Executives See Their Income Potential 🚚 | Recruiting Director | Husband | Father | G-Pa | Self Proclaimed Pool VolleyBall BEAST!! 👹
People often ask me why I’m not an agent..... My logistics journey been one of successes, disappointments; and what I deemed, failures. I was a top 50 agent from 2009-2016 for a large brokerage in Phoenix. Due to poor decisions, I decided to sell by book of business in 2017 to help get out from under mounting debt. I felt I failed myself and my family, it took me months to stop hating myself. There were many days where I was in tears and didn’t want to get out of bed. I deemed myself a failure for needing a w2 job. I had to find employment, fast. In Feb 2018, Freight Tec took a chance on me with ZERO recruiting experience. All I had going for me was being a former freight agent. I was Freight Tec's second choice. Execs had someone else in mind, one with an extensive network of freight agents. I had to convince them they made the best decision choosing me. Day 1: Prior to walking through the door, I sat in my car for 20 minutes in the parking lot asking myself whether or not to give agent recruiting a shot. I had a draft email prepared to send to Freight Tec stating I will not be taking the offer. I had my bags packed ready to drive back to the airport for the return flight home. Freight Tec found me at my worst, emotionally. Sure, I had a smile, but was dying inside. For the next 1.5 yrs, I worked hard to network and build while struggling with self loathe. In mid-2019, I came to the self-realization I can help agents avoid the financial pitfalls I experienced in addition to pairing them with a great brokerage. I can change lives! Thanks to my teams throughout the years, Freight Tec has seen YoY growth. The journey of life is a blend of pitfalls and successes, each playing a crucial role in shaping my life. These weren’t failures, just setbacks. The setbacks taught me resilience, and patience. This journey has allowed me to grow, learn, and navigate life with more wisdom and strength. Your choices, actions, and mindset determine the path you take. I’m thankful for my wonderful wife for helping me through this difficult time AND that Freight Tec took chance on me. What's been a setback for you and how did you overcome? #3PL #logistics #freightagent #freightbroker
