This breakthrough on the 1st dry cathode electrode in an #EV is also better for the #environment: 1) Reduction in energy consumption in the manufacturing process by ~70% (direct transition from cathode and anode powder to an electrode film instead of the need for massive machinery and large ovens) 2) Reduced chemical use & lower waste generation (no need for disposable gels or conductive paste that often contain chemicals) 3) Less water usage (wet electrodes often require water and saline solutions) PS. We're still hiring in our #responsiblesourcing team: https://lnkd.in/gfK-u9s6
Tremendous amount of effort by this team to make the first EV utilizing Dry Cathode Electrode a reality! This Cybertruck represents a significant technical milestone towards improving EV battery costs and performance, and there’s no better team continuing to enable that future! #Tesla

3moThanks Ferdinand. Good to see. Any plans to quantify some of the other takeaways - lower waste, water use etc.?
