monday.com please don't hate me, I think I just made all project managers lives easier The problem: "Can you trigger these board creations to pull data from a CRM for example? so when a deal is closed, a project management board is created" - Paul Day (it wont let me tag you for some reason ill try tag you to the comments) The solution: I created a webhook that allows for the AI agent to pull the data from a CRM brief file that can be as detailed as you like. It then uses that informational to flesh out a foundational project management board ready for your team to review, assign and as monday.com says get things DONE. I was talking to a California-based solopreneur and tech consultant, who serves clients to build IT software solutions around the globe for Business automation. During our conversation, we found out that he is consulting business automation for the manufacturing industry to increase their sales and capture most of the leads, and keep warming them. When we were talking a lot about Tech, then all of a sudden one question popped up in my mind, solopreneur can scale this business if we can help him to make proposal faster and accurately, how we do that? After we concluded our discussion for the day, I came home and started searching about what can make the proposal with his own brands and faster with accuracy. and then I talked to a couple more CEOs of mid-size companies and they have a team of business analysts, who understand the client requirement and make a proposal with a presentable diagram and tech solution. After we left for the day, this made me realized that solopreneur, mid-size IT software consulting and development companies spend a lot of time creating proposals with their own brands and they have a lot of people involved in this drafting ranging from Business analysts, designers, project manager and in fact in small companies CEO itself, as every proposal counts. So the core business of consulting and software development companies is to develop software and not to make proposals, I understand sales and proposals are part of every business, but how about automating it with your own brand and should feel like WOW..!! and accurate with a story? Perfect utilization in the consulting business is unattainable. You are either over-utilized or under-utilized. You either postpone projects or you have people on the bench. You either lose money or lose money. On top of that, even if you plan to perfection, the reality is always different: ⛌ Assignments are postponed due to delays on the customer side ⛌ The validation process takes longer than expected ⛌ Assignments change, or we misunderstood them. ⛌ The infrastructure wasn't ready So you ask, how can one even manage that? The capacity management story at EMARK has evolved. Yes, even we started with spreadsheets. Then we added JIRA for time tracking. But as the business grew, so did the need to schedule and forecast capacities. With the increase of BI consultants, spreadsheets did not work for us anymore. Luckily, we were already developing Inphinity ∞, the data entry solution for Qlik. And capacity management was a great candidate for optimization. It checked all our needs for: ✔ Daily updates ✔ Collaboration between many people ✔ Quick changes in the app due to an ever-evolving process Our solution is straightforward: 1. Devs and PMs update their work log daily in Jira 2. The forecasted capacity is regularly updated in Inphinity ∞ 3. Account managers update customer pipeline and roadmap daily in Zoho 4. The team meets bi-weekly to discuss utilization, issues, and hiring needs All data is gathered in Qlik and evaluated weekly to decide about capacity allocations. Inphinity ∞ is a critical part of this process. The use case also illustrates how it works well with other tools. What have we achieved? → We avoided complex UX of capacity planning in JIRA → We eliminated spreadsheets consolidation → We fixed data quality issues → We logged every change None of the above would be possible to manage and update daily without Inphinity.
