We had the last in-person project meeting on EASI-STRESS. What an amazing journey for the last 3 and a half years and was a very good experience too. But still have some work to do until the very end of the project :) #neutron #synchrotron #EASISTRESS #residualstress #standardization

What an amazing group of people that I have had the pleasure of working with over the last 4 years in EASI-STRESS funded by the European Commission. We have taken huge steps towards industrializing residual stress analysis using neutrons and synchrotron x-rays. We are meeting these days in Budapest at the neutron facility at HUN-REN Centre for Energy Research, going through the project achievements and making arrangements about the final task. And securing the “legacy” of the project: how do we make sure all our results, data, procedures and experiences are available for those who will pick up the gauntlet next? Special thanks to my work package leaders: Matt Roy from The University of Manchester, Ennio Capria from ESRF - The European Synchrotron, Sandra Cabeza from ILL - Institut Laue Langevin, Fabien Lefebvre from Cetim - Centre technique des industries mécaniques and Marc Thiry from Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon. And to my colleagues from Danish Technological Institute: Hanna Leemreize and Nikolaj Henriksen for supporting me as project coordinator. The work from DTI is co-financed by Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science via Performance Contact MA3.
