Are meetings a waste of time? Or are they an essential tool for sharing information as a team? I’ve been reflecting on this while being away from the office this week and missing one meeting in particular—our daily team check-in. We’re fortunate to be a small, agile group, and one of the best things we’ve established is this 30-minute daily meeting. Every team member participates, taking turns leading the discussion, we share what we’re working on, what others need to know, and where help might be needed. Someone captures quick notes for those who can’t attend like me this week! There are days when it feels like we’re too busy to make time for it, but we’ve committed to this practice, and the results speak for themselves: stronger customer service, improved team awareness, knowledge sharing, and mutual support. It’s also created opportunities for team members to step into leadership roles and—perhaps most importantly—it has fostered camaraderie and a supportive team culture. It’s been working well for us, and I’m incredibly grateful for this team’s dedication and commitment to our ongoing team growth. #Dovetailors #Teamwork #Furnituredesign
