Bluey just keeps getting bigger!
For the second year in a row, Bluey took her place in the world-famous Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, this time joined by her famous red balloon for a larger-than-life game of keepy uppy. An American institution, last year the parade attracted nearly 28 million viewers on US TV.
That’s not all though, the Emmy® and BAFTA award winning animation produced by Ludo Studios and co-commissioned by BBC Studios and Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), has been delighting fans and reaching audiences all over the world.
Last week, in partnership with Outright Games, we launched Bluey: The Videogame, the long-awaited debut for the show on PC and consoles. This follows hot on the heels of the Bluey mobile game which since its launch this summer has been downloaded an amazing 13.5 million times.
Meanwhile, in Melbourne Bluey has taken over the windows of MYER – Australia’s biggest department store. Across six windows the dazzling display tells the story of a quintessential Aussie Christmas Day with the Heelers. Already generating huge crowds and excitement, it is estimated 1.4 million families will visit over its six-week residency.
With the show’s first extended special, The Sign, premiering globally next year, and Bluey’s Big Play entertaining audiences across the UK this December and the Middle East in 2024, there’s so much more to come from the Heeler family.
Well done to everyone at BBC Studios and all our amazing partners across the world who’ve made this magic happen!
