Many people don't realize how important it is to be elected by your peers as a member of firm leadership. Well, let me tell you, it is a big deal. The decision is not entered into lightly. The people who lead our firms are the ones who ultimately make all of the decisions that impact every aspect of the firm, including its success, culture, standards, integrity, and so much more. Before a vote is taken, there are deep discussions about a candidates ethics, credibility, team mentality, client service standards, skills, experience, and other qualities that define a good leader.
