Hello! 你好! Привет! 안녕하세요! A simple greeting brings smiles and builds meaningful relationships. Almost a year ago, a group of students from St. Joseph's Institution (SJI) International began their volunteering journey with us at the TTSH Integrated Care Hub. They transformed their passion project into a school CCA, called the Attollo Project. Now, with over 30 students, they dedicated their after-school hours engaging our patients through games, conversations, and physical activities - supporting patients' rehabilitation, boosting their moods, and enhancing their well-being, especially for those who have stayed in the hospital for a long time. Despite speaking different languages, this doesn't stop the students from striking up a conversation with our patients and knowing each other. Working closely with our Allied Health teams, these students help to run four rehab programmes - Adaptive Sports, Elder Fiesta, Vista Fiesta, and Horticulture Therapy (ICH Blossoms). The SJI International students are the youngest group of volunteers in the hospital, aged between 15 and 18, these enthusiastic youths are always keen to do more for our patients and learn about healthcare. Volunteering in TTSH gives them a glimpse of what healthcare all about, some aspire to be healthcare workers in the future while some just want to do good with their friends. This also gives the hospital an opportunity to work with the younger generation and nurture them to be part of this care community to build a better #TodayForTomorrow. Witness the incredible journey of how these students bring joy and support to our patients Special thanks to the SJI International student volunteers from the 'Attollo Project' for sharing this video. If their stories resonate with you, we welcome you to join us: for.sg/ttsh-volunteers. #HealthForGenerations #TTSH180 #IamATTSHVolunteer #Volunteerism #MakingADifference

I vividly remember visiting an orphanage home with around 100 children, aged 8 to 13, under the care of the Kwara State Government. Walking in, I felt a mix of happiness and sadness ,happy to see the children playing and laughing, yet sad thinking about their circumstances. One of my most fulfilling experiences was co-leading the Satara Initiatives - Make a Child Smile (#MACS) project, alongside #Jummy, under the initiative owned by Adebukola Adewoyin. I used my sewing skills to create nose masks for these little angels, and it brought me immense joy. But it also made me think deeply: 🩸What did these innocent children do to deserve this? 🩸How will they be treated when they grow up and face the world? These thoughts stayed with me, reminding me of the care, love, and attention every child deserves but may not always receive. Visiting the orphanage was a life-changing experience, one that made me truly appreciate the little things in life. Through this project, I was not just a volunteer; I was part of something bigger,a movement to bring smiles to those who need it most. Let us not just talk about change ,let’s make it happen. The smiles we create today will shape the leaders of tomorrow. Happy International Youth Day! From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development. This year’s theme resonates with our collective efforts to empower the younger generation, ensuring that they are equipped with the digital skills necessary to drive sustainable development. Let’s continue to support initiatives that provide our youth with the tools they need to build a brighter future How will you make a difference? #CommunityEngagement #Volunteering #SaveAChild #HelpAChild #NoGivingIsSmall #ChangeTheWorld #ChildrenAreLeaders #GivingIsTheKey #SataraInitiative #InternationalYouthDay

Tunde Onakoya has shown us that there is dignity in not only thinking about oneself, rather in living a life to help others. It is that time of the year again where we call unto young minds with the heart to contribute to development in their communities #Volunteering always begins in the heart before extending to the hands and legs (and maybe purse😀) But one thing is certain, volunteering is the only way to build our communities, contribute to the betterment of the lives of those around us especially indigent and underserved children and communities. From personal experience, I have come to see that volunteering does not only benefit others, there’s an unending outline of benefits it portends even to the volunteer themselves. From career develop, access to mentors, CV boost, traveling opportunities to scholarship opportunities et ce tera. Yattiyr Scholarship Initiative is a registered youth-led Non Governmental Organization with the vision to proffer access to quality education for indigent children and communities, participate in community building and contribute to all aspects of life. If this aligns with your personal mission, your skill, expertise, experience and passion would be greatly relevant in the organization as we look to achieving a common goal. Reflecting on my transformative experience with the ILSS - India Leaders for Social Sector Fundraising course, I've come to understand that fundraising is not just about money—it's about inviting others to join a cause they passionately believe in. Over the past 10 days, the support for our fundraiser has been heartwarming. Whether through contributions or spreading the word, each action reinforced our mission. Yet, amidst this progress, I'm left pondering: in a world that celebrates vast social networks, why do causes like ours still struggle to connect with the right people? I invite you all to join this conversation. How can we ensure that impactful initiatives reach those who resonate with them most? Whether you have insights to share or are inspired to contribute, your contribution matters. Comment below or please do connect with me to brainstorm ideas. #Fundraising #SocialImpact #ILSS #JoinTheCause #CommunityEngagement

I love being a volunteer- It provides physical and mental rewards. You get a chance to give back and also learn. My personal advice to each and every friends of mine to experience the joy of giving… In PSR we focus on "Empowering Girl Child". We can say that we focus on education of girls child. The program's objectives is to establish and manage learning centers for girls in rural areas. The aim is to provide high-quality education to girls and ensure their successful transition into mainstream education. I think it is the moral responsibility of every citizen to do for betterment of society. Organization believes that education is a powerful tool for social change and development.✌️ #volunteer #PSRActivity

1000+ kids to corporates so far! This is our way of revolutionizing education for financially poor children! Imagine a kid crossing big glassed buildings every day while walking to their school. They wonder what is inside. The security does not allow them inside the building. They look at the building every day as if it is a wonder. They dream of entering such big corporate buildings one day. Team Everest NGO's 'Kids @ Corporate' initiative fulfils their dreams. We take a group of financially poor kids to Corporates to help them dream big. Kids enjoy a full tour inside and around the office campus. They witness how a workplace is. They awe at the cafeteria and snack vending machines. We engage them in various skills building & creativity enabling activities. Corporate volunteers share their experiences with the kids and also do a mini career awareness session. "I didn't know girls could work in big companies,” one of the girl children whom we took to a corporate said. Schools give them knowledge. Kids @ Corporate gives them motivation and dreams. If your company wants to inspire kids and spark a dream in them, partner with Team Everest NGO for 'Kids @ Corporate' initiative. National No One Eats Alone Day is a compassionate initiative aimed at combating social isolation and promoting inclusion within schools and communities. This day encourages students to reach out and make sure no one eats lunch alone in the school cafeteria. It emphasizes the importance of kindness, empathy, and friendship by fostering an environment where everyone feels welcomed and valued. The concept behind National No One Eats Alone Day originated from Beyond Differences, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending social isolation among young people. The day serves as a reminder that simple gestures of inclusion can have a profound impact on individuals' emotional well-being and overall sense of belonging. Schools across the country participate in various activities on this day to raise awareness about the harmful effects of social isolation and to promote a culture of inclusivity. These activities may include organized lunchtime events, educational assemblies, and discussions focused on empathy and acceptance. #NoOneEatsAlone #InclusionMatters #EndSocialIsolation #KindnessCounts #EmpathyInAction #LunchtimeCompanionship #UnityInDiversity #TogetherWeDine #SpreadLoveNotIsolation #CommunityConnections
