I help you craft a superficial brand & grow your community with a 150% profile boost and 3-4 leads < 90 days | LinkedIn Personal Brand Strategist & Designer.
The most overlooked designing aspect that is ruining your Brand’s perception. No discussion on colors today. Today we will keep our focus on the proper alignments. You have been taking the alignment lightly but what you don’t know is ✅ wrong alignment creates a sense of chaos ✅ it breaks the flow and disturbs your readers ✅ it destroys the visual hierarchy of the design ✅ lacking in alignment will appear unprofessional So how you should be fixing all these for better outcomes? A worth-it question to ask. Fix that issue by using: ✅ grid line to your page for a structured framework ✅ grouping the related elements that repeat on every page ✅ other alignment tools to keep the flow of the page going Always remember, ❎ Proper alignment doesn’t always mean keeping aesthetics maintain ✅ It means keeping the little things in place to enhance your reader’s experience. Want to soar your Brand’s growth with designs? Drop me a DM today and let’s get started today.

One of the things I've seen over and over again is that our job as designers, no matter what kind, is to transform complex or vague ideas into simple, straightforward solutions. Easy, right? Not really. This is actually the thing that makes good design stand out. And for that matter, a good designer. But what makes a good designer? Loads of practice and honing that special "sense" you can't quite define. Making something simple and maintainable is actually harder than adding complexity. There’s unappreciated skill in making simple things. What I'm getting at is that it's a natural process of becoming that good designer and it usually looks like a bell curve.

Some thing I always say is that a junior designer will use themselves to serve the process and a senior designer will use the process to serve themselves. What do I mean by this? I mean, having a process is like having training wheels. Once you gain experience and become better at craft, you are able to pick apart the process and apply just the specific thing you need to accomplish a goal I’m currently reading The Creative Act: A Way of Being by Rick Rubin, in which he says, “Sometimes a formula has diminishing returns. Other times, we don’t recognize that the formula is only a small aspect of what gives the work it’s charge. It’s helpful to continually challenge your own process. If you had a good result, using a specific style, method, or working condition, don’t assume that it is the best way. Holding every rule as breakable is a healthy way to live…”

As you grow as a Designer, into management, into Leadership particularly within InHouse roles, we work at such a furious pace that we lean on external resource or our team to deliver creative design solutions. The process of picking up my drawing pen and opening up onto an A3 piece of paper will always be my favourite part about what I do and why this industry chose me. I have always said to my teams over the years, never lose the art of sketching and be that person that sits in a room ready to communicate onto paper. CAD is there to finalise and complete. But at the root of us as designers, your thoughts always flow easier from mind to paper.

Building a space for senior designers to tackle real problems | Founder of Coho – masterminds for design leaders
The better you get at design, the less you actually design. Think about it: - Junior designers: 90% designing, 10% meetings - Mid-level: 70% designing, 30% explaining designs - Senior: 40% designing, 60% managing other designers - Design lead: 10% designing, 90% talking about design The irony is that most people enter this field because they love to design. But success often means doing less of what you love. Questions to ponder: 1. At what point in your career did you notice this shift? 2. How do you stay creatively fulfilled as you move up? 3. Is it possible to reach the top while staying hands-on? Your experience might be different. If so, how did you avoid this pattern? #design #career #designleadership
