Stretching upon waking up is a natural behavior that helps activate your muscles and joints after a period of inactivity.
This instinctive stretching, known as pandiculation, helps increase blood flow, improve flexibility, and relieve any stiffness that may have developed during sleep.
It’s a way for your body to prepare itself for movement and activity, and it’s often done without conscious thought as part of the body’s automatic wake-up process.
If your body already knows how important it is to prepare for movement we clearly need to be intentional about that preparation and that’s where my work comes in.
