Let's delve into the marvels of a themed event. Firstly, the allure of escapism cannot be overstated. In this Bridgerton-esque setting, guests were transported to the extraordinary, allowing them to step into Regency-like elegance and charm, that ignited fascination. Themed events offer a coherent aesthetic that ties every element together, from the invitations to the menu. Imagine a soirée where every dish and drink is inspired by the culinary delights of the Regency era, where the music is a symphony of period-appropriate compositions, and where the conversation flows as smoothly as the finest claret. And, of course, there is the sheer delight of shared fandom. For a Bridgerton-inspired event, those who revel in the series' drama, romance, and fashion, bring a sense of camaraderie and shared joy. It is a celebration of mutual interests, where every guest is both a participant and a co-conspirator in the escapade. The next time you plan an event, consider the merits of a themed setting. For in the world of high society, it is the fantasy that makes the occasion that much more remarkable. It's all about the detail! Great insight here from Chris White discussing the importance of detail and elevating customer experiences! #brandsolutions #custombuilt
I was really impressed at the subtle attention to detail during dinner whilst on an installation in Vienna recently. This was a standard restaurant, I was dining alone (yes, get your violins out) on a weekday evening, and every dish was presented like a Michelin starred venue. With such attention to detail in the presentation and the service from the staff made ‘just having dinner’ an elevated experience. Back on the show floor at EULAR the next day, I noticed the attention to detail our team was applying to the project, lining up the light fittings to create a perfect line for the eye. A small touch of perfectionism that if missed would offset the look of balance in the end result. This was the sixth outing for this stand within a few months but that did not mean slacking off on the finishing touches. Leaving the Vienna team, I went straight into the Warner Bros. installation at their Theobold’s Road, London building. This was a project that demanded a high level of creativity and detail, both in design and installation. Despite the fact that this was a very short exposure, the team dedicated themselves to it as if it were a permanent structure. Recreating details from the Superman history archive such as Clark Kent’s office in the Daily Planet and the Fortress of Solitude was brought to life with ceiling painting, prop sourcing and graphic design. No detail was omitted and the final result was well received. As we move into a less frenetic part of our working year, I love to see that the team remains focussed on high quality productions with the attention to detail that elevates any and all of our customer experiences. I know that next time I’m in Vienna, I’ll be seeking out that same restaurant thanks to the great experience I had. It reminded me why those small details are so important, and possibly why we work with so many of our customers again and again. #brandsolutions #custombuilt #retailinstallations #exhibitions #exhibitionsuppliers #exhibitionstandbuild #eventsprofsuk #exhibitionstanddesigners #exhibiting

How Do You Transform First Impressions into Lasting Memories? How crucial are first impressions in the world of events? They can make or break the experience. I've always been obsessed with this part of the experience. Here's an example to help paint the picture: When leading Kitchen Takeover, we turned this challenge into an opportunity with our East of the Middle pop-up. We took a nondescript exhibition space at the racecourse and transformed it into an unforgettable Bedouin tent oasis. How? By installing a Moroccan marquee inside the building (yes, you can actually do this), adorned with handmade colorful tassels, golden brassware, and vibrant curtains to set the scene. Guests had to find the secret location clue of a fiery brazier, then navigate through a pitch-black tunnel, only to be welcomed by the melodies of an oud (the oldest guitar known in history and a traditional Middle Eastern instrument), the aromatic embrace of incense, the visual feast of a beautiful tablescape, and the intrigue of smoking cocktails. This wasn’t just about dining; it was an immersive experience designed to thrill every sense and leave a lasting impression. So, I pose the question to you: How do you ensure your first impressions pave the way for unforgettable memories? #EventPlanning #FirstImpressions #ExperientialDesign

Ever heard of Artfarm? They keep coming up in conversations with clients. Founded by the brains behind private art gallery Hauser & Wirth, their venues blend art, food, and community, and now include restaurants, a hotel, pub, fishmonger, and farm shops. Often integrating these into Hauser & Wirth art destinations. They've even acquired London’s iconic The Groucho Club. I’ve been thinking about their formula… 1️⃣ Integrating blue chip talent: Using their connections through Hauser & Wirth to create bespoke interiors and furniture, surrounding guests and diners with notable art. 2️⃣ Diverse spaces, different paces: Combining dining, shopping, and art browsing – activities that require different speeds and energies – those needed in a destination where you wish to linger. They apply this to both rural spots like Hauser & Wirth Somerset or an urban block like Audley Street in Mayfair. 3️⃣ Meeting local needs: Venues feel wholesome and often serve a practical purpose, making them a beautiful amenity for the community as much as a destination worth taking a trip to. 4️⃣ Cultural enrichment: Bringing venues to life with culture by partnering with local festivals and creating those of their own across literature, art, and fashion. 5️⃣ Provenance to eat and takeaway: Underpinning every menu with locally sourced produce and creating many of their own concoctions available for purchase, branded under Farm Shop. They're valuable lessons for any hospitality brand aspiring to create places where people simply wish to spend time, building this by finding a thread between culture, art, provenance, and community. I’m exciting to see what Art Farm gets up to next.
