Plan this into your design plan to avoid any cheap looking metal, wire shelving. 2. As I approached the design of the full bathroom on the 2nd floor, my aim was to create a cohesive and intentional flow with the overall ambiance of the home, while infusing a distinct charm that sets the kitchen and bathroom apart. My vision for the home follows a transitional design aesthetic—essentially, a harmonious blend of traditional and modern elements. This versatility serves the dual purpose of appealing to a wide audience and providing a versatile backdrop for either traditional or modern furnishings, depending on the new homeowners’ preferences. The intricate balance of design elements is most evident in the permanent fixtures, such as the vanities, faucets, and tiling. My selections here are carefully chosen to reflect a sense of balance, embracing the duality of the transitional style. To add a dimension of uniqueness to the space, I opted for sage green tiles in the main bathroom. This choice challenges the standard neutral palette that contractors usually stick to. Sage greens, and blues can still be neutral without overwhelming the senses, providing a subtle yet inviting splash of color. Throughout the property, brass hardware has been a unifying accent, complementing both the kitchen cabinetry and the bathrooms. To avoid monotony and lend an air of sophistication, we’ve introduced black accents alongside the brass fixtures. This strategic mix of metals contributes to a refined, designed feel, distinguishing the home from conventional offerings currently on the market.
