Many of my industry peers are aware of my passion for great leadership. It is a mission of mine to research and understand what masterful leadership looks like, and it is on full display in this podcast interview with Aneta Field and Fran Southward. Aneta was appointed Contact Centre Manager of the Year at the Auscontact Association 2024 National Awards, no mean feat when you consider the level of competition she was up against. I urge all upcoming and existing leaders to listen to this podcast to understand what makes Aneta so great and what has enabled her to build a thriving culture and environment for her team at Honey Insurance. Another key takeaway for me in this interview was Aneta's view on how we build a contact centre. She states "we need to build contact centres the people need", insinuating that to build a truly effective contact centre, you need to take your input from the people who touch it the most, your contact centre staff, and your customers. The business goals and outcomes should not drive technology, the voice of the customer and the agent should. We have an overarching statement at CloudWave that we "build Contact Centre technology agents love to use", and it stems from a business built by people who have a deep understanding of the contact centre.
