The cool thing about specializing in specialty materials, materials converting, and polymer related manufacturing markets is that I can see the entire supply chain of manufacturing. When we on-board a new employee to our company, we show them where we have specialized for about 40 years. Specialty polymers make up a lot consumer products, of what we use today, but the more functionality & scarcity a specialty polymer has, the more costly it is. It all starts with the Chemicals industry.... chemicals (monomers) are made into polymers at chemical manufacturing facilities through a variety of polymerization, synthesis or polymer manufacturing processes. Once it's a polymer, the product can be further manufactured through other manufacturing processes like molding, extrusion (cast or blown plastic films), formulation (lab based polymers), or other polymer manufacturing processes. Many of these polymers end up being manufactured into roll goods or made into a custom products used in other specialty applications. The manufacturing world is diverse and abundant when it comes creative functions or use applications. The list is extensive but the good news is that our company plays in all of these sandboxes. We help a wide variety of manufacturing companies that use polymers and plastics such as manufacturers of: Tapes Adhesives, Coatings, Sealants Elastomers (CASE) Foams Rubbers & Silicones Films Flexible Packaging and the Converting (specialty materials converting and printing) The farther down the value chain we go with our clients, the more difficult / challenging it is to find a perfect fit for the open job orders we have.
