🎉 Exciting News! 🎉 We are very happy to announce that Metyos has recently joined France Deeptech, a vibrant association committed to supporting the growth of deeptech champions to address contemporary challenges🚀 France Deeptech was officially launched on November 29th, and currently brings together 200 members, including research laboratories, start-ups, and investment funds. France Deeptech is set to be the voice of the deep-tech ecosystem to French public authorities, in the mission to transform promising startup into European champions. At Metyos, our mission is to help people live healthier and longer lives by assisting patients and doctors in managing and improving treatments, particularly in the areas of cardiorenal health, Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), and End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). Joining France Deeptech aligns perfectly with our vision and enhances our ability to make a significant impact in healthcare. RMIT University will be in force at AusMedtech 2024 🌟 Join us for an insightful panel discussion with RMIT Professor Sharath Sriram on Thursday, May 23rd - Hall M from 1:00pm - 2:00pm. Speakers include Lilly Bojarski Kelly Coverdale Karen Reynolds and Natalie Rickers, PhD, GAICD Session: What infrastructure do we need to build a vibrant medtech innovation and commercialisation ecosystem The road to successful commercialisation in medtech is often winding and with many obstacles along the way. Being aware of the pitfalls and shaping your start-up for the best possible outcome is no simple task. It has been said we need the right people, science, infrastructure and money to build a success. Incubator and accelerator programmes are a vital part of the medtech innovation ecosystem but what else is required to help our sector and provide a rich environment of education, mentorship, industry collaboration, networking and capital raising support? Our panel will look into the roles of education, mentorship, industry collaboration, networking and capital raising support. Where are the gaps and how do we fill them?

The time has come for the first Bi-weekly update from the Aniverse in 2024! The last two weeks were permeated with secretive happenings, so I will summarize it without disclosing the details (those will go out in the following few weeks): 1) VC Investment Four years after starting a company, during the most brutal fundraising environment ever, after investments from EIT Climate-KIC RIS and 70 angel investors, we realized our first VC investment. More about our lucky partners soon! (joke, the luck is mutual) 2) New HQ We signed the contract for the new, 3x bigger HQ that will unify offices, production, lab, fulfillment, and warehouse. We are moving in this month and will share more soon! 3) Clinical study - results We received the raw data from the participants of our first clinical trial. Our bioinformaticians interpreted the results, and I could just say that they are better than expected, confirming the power of bioactive compounds for gut health. These are only the first 28 samples (the study altogether has 150 ppl through 3 arms) - the official results are coming out soon! 4) Scientific Advisory Board We formed our Scientific Advisory Board of four extraordinary international scientists. We will onboard two more in the following two weeks and disclose all of them at once. 5) New team members We have three more scientists in our core team. I'll share each in the following posts (starting with this one). 7 #startupFIT receive support from Innosuisse as part of the Swiss Accelerator as a transitional measure for Horizon Europe 🙌 Congratulations to Alithea Genomics, Aspivix, Flybotix, Picterra, SEED Biosciences, Urbio and Vivent Biosignals! ✅ Innosuisse has carried out this call for projects due to Switzerland's non-association to Horizon Europe. Swiss SMEs and start-ups were able to apply for direct financial support for innovation projects with significant innovation potential. The Swiss Innovation Agency has now approved 33 innovation projects from SMEs and start-ups with significant innovation potential. The funding awarded amounts to 60.4 million Swiss francs in total. Fantastic news for both Denmark and Nucleate. The ability of Nucleate to instill and enable the entrepreneurial spirit in students is stellar. And as the world sheds pounds on wegovy the ‘girth’ the danish biotech ecosystem only increases - in a good way. There will be many future medicines coming after Glp1r agonists has leveled off - and there will be several origins of those treatments that can be traced back to this investment.
