Each year, #WomensHistoryMonth celebrates the legacies and contributions of powerful women—those who have broken glass ceilings and are driving meaningful impact to reduce systemic barriers and help to build a more equitable and sustainable future for all. However, despite many efforts, those barriers continue to persist. According to the World Economic Forum, women business owners are outnumbered 3-1, which underscores how society can do more to support and recognize today’s women innovators and founders. I’ve had the opportunity to spend time with several entrepreneurs who are doing incredible work to build a more sustainable and equitable future through Deloitte’s involvement with the Yes San Francisco, Urban Sustainability Challenge (https://lnkd.in/gHfV6JbM) a collaboration led by the World Economic Forum, Deloitte, Salesforce, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, Citi and many others. From providing equitable access to EV charging in major cities, to leveraging the power of enzymes to remove harmful chemicals for urban redevelopment to water applications that reduce consumption, to leveraging AI to monitor tree health, these leaders have the potential to make tremendous positive impact on #urbantransformation in San Francisco and beyond. I am grateful that these social entrepreneurs have dedicated their purpose and passions to helping to build a more equitable society. 7moA Women's History Month post whose key words include Urban, Equitable, Technology, AI, EV, Leaders, and Impact (and does not have a floral motif within the graphics?) ... is how I know Deloitte is our leader to champion the work ahead. Thank you Kwasi Mitchell.
