Hard work is OVERRATED! 🤔 But you know what is underated? Judgement. → Wisdom is understanding the long term consequences of your actions. → Wisdom applied to external problems is judgement. They're highly linked- knowing the long term consequences of hour actions and then making the right decisions to capitalize on that. Not saying don't work hard. Keep working. But know what you're working towards, and knowing the consequences of what you're doing. And WHY you're doing it! Some really great learnings from Naval Ravakant 🤍

As I read through this publication, admittedly with tears in my eyes, I came to the realization that I will always be a Marine. Below are my key takeaways from MCRP 6-11D “Sustaining the Transformation”. Feel free to read and share your thoughts. 1. Your experience(s) are one of a kind, your training, second to none. 2. You ARE the example. 3. Every day is a training opportunity. 4. The “Kool-Aid” does not wear off. 5. Your mission is now YOURS to define. https://lnkd.in/gtdCR9Ny

Senior Marine Engineer & Communication Ambassador at RINA | Project Manager of EXPLORA JOURNEYS Classification & Plan Approval Activities
🌟 Exciting Update: New Version of RINA Rules for the Classification of Ships Effective from July 1, 2024! 🌟 We are pleased to announce the release of the updated version of the Rules for the Classification of Ships, which will come into force on July 1, 2024. This edition introduces several significant and intriguing updates derived from the international regulatory context. Among the notable updates: - New IACS UR S35: Provides general criteria for conducting the buckling strength assessment of ship structural elements. - New Appendix B of IACS Rec 10: Introduces a direct calculation method for forces to determine the anchoring equipment for ships under 90 meters in length. As a naval engineer, I find it particularly fascinating to witness how the Class Rules, one of the principal tools I use daily, continuously evolve to meet new technological demands and ensure the highest safety standards for ships, people, cargo, and the environment! For those interested, the updated Rules can be accessed on the RINA website. Feel free to reach out to me or my colleagues here on LinkedIn for support and further information. Stay safe and sail smoothly! 🚢 RINA #GrowWithRina #IACS

I enjoy seeing this stance from these Canadian Air Cadets from a few years ago. It shows a certain fun "attitude" that a drill team needs. However, communication here isn't clear. Do you see why? Because of the variation of technique. The stance I really get a kick out of is the cadet second from the left. Her lead (right) foot is pointing forward, which gives direction for the attitude, the right knee is slightly bent, trail leg straight, shoulders and hips angled to the front, head cocked to the left with her chin elevated just a bit. She has an excellent stance. Contrast that with the others who have many similarities, but don't quite complete the look. It's the lead foot, mostly, that creates the confusion in the communication process. Even though this pose was only held for a few seconds and the audience probably enjoyed it along with the rest of the performance, it could have been clearer creating more impact. 🔆Education is 🔑! . 🔹Read your manuals!
