So this is our story… of Bosch Software and Digital Solutions (#BoschSDS) which has a Engineering & Digital portfolio offering to its customers in enterprise and Govt segment, and being strong in the manufacturing & automotive segment- we decided to venture into utility domain!! So a few yrs back, we decided to implement end-to-end enterprise systems for DISCOMS and then take up the challenge of the domain of #smartmeters… we put together a team of experts from the domain, won a govt RFP, ventured into procurement & installation of meters in challenging geographies in Rajasthan & Andaman in thousands, struggled and succeeded with meter connectivity, perfected our solutions in HES (headend systems, the brain!), to MDM & billing systems etc, built intelligent data analytics so crucial to a DISCOM that bills you and me as end customers… Today, we are embarking big!! - Collaborating and forming consortiums, working on multiple projects in various parts of India! A success story unfolding is our SPV (joint investment) with GMR Group- a win/win utilising their infra capability & managing large projects with #BoschSDS implementing IoT & digital solutions!! We are aiming that our combined strengths will scale to ‘digitise’ last mile electricity distribution through smart meters to 75lakh households (7.5 million meters) in east and south #Uttarpradesh, for the next 10 yrs!!
