The 4th All India Specially Abled Chess Tournament 2024 organised by Tata Steel concluded with the enthusiastic participation of 68 players from across the nation. This year, for the first time, the Sports Department of Tata Steel hosted the tournament in Jharkhand in collaboration with the Chess Federation for the Physically Disabled.
The event provided a prestigious platform for chess players with disabilities to exhibit their skills and passion for the game. The tournament featured multiple categories, including Wheelchair, Unrated, Women, U19 Junior Open, and Girls. Champions in each category received a handsome cash prize.
We were honoured to have some top FIDE players compete in this event. In addition to the chess rounds, players had the opportunity to visit the Centre for Excellence, Tata Football Academy, Tata Archery Academy, and High Performance Centre, which helped them appreciate the rich culture, history, and legacy of Tata Steel.

The culture and the legacy of the Tata Steel is respectful and appreciable since it’s inception. May God provide enthusiasm and capability to management to maintain it.
"Indranagar Ka Gundaa" is back in Indranagar.
I have never seen such a kind hearted Gundaa, such a simple personality waala Gunda, such a down to earth Gundaa.
Master of his craft and created brilliant craftsmen from his experience be it Under19 and Senior Team World Cup Victory as Head Coach.
He had already made substantial contributions to Indian cricket. He served as the head of cricket at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and added unmatchable value to the academy.
What an example of a perfect human being.
Though he is Cool as a Cucumber but under his coaching the entire Team was so ferocious, aggressive, hungry for victory yet so respectful to everyone related to the game and fraternity.
Bharat Need more such Gentleman Gunda to keep these lions roaring.

India became ICC world champion yesterday after defeating SA in a cliffhanger. A game alsmot lost by India, won by us out of nowhere. Few take aways from yesterday’s game:
#It is never over, until it’s really over. Keep your focus intact.
# Life provides second chance to everyone. Just grab it. India did the same.
# There is a process behind every successful result. Keep following the process no matter what situation you are in.
#I am sure the only thing which kept India going was their belief in their capabilities. Have a strong belief system.
#It takes one mistake to bring down the entire team. Klassen should have seen his team through. A slight lapse in concentration and entire team comes down like a pack of cards.
#Compelling urge to succeed helped India to cross that finish line.
#Courage - Showing courage when chips are down. Stand by your decisions and your teammates.
#Be honest in your approach and God will reward you with the choicest of Joys.

10 wickets in a test match !!!! History created by Sneh Rana ○, This would have been the front page / prime time news if achieved by our men's cricket team. It is very sad to see nobody celebrate Sneh Rana victory & has been kept low profile by our media.
What an incredible performance! This 3 minute video shows the best talent, which every Indian should be proud of. It is sad to see the discrimination between men and women in cricket.
We strongly urge every Indian to cheer for Sneh Rana's achievement, and she should receive the respect she deserves👏
## Breaking the Glass Ceiling: The Unseen Struggles of Successful Women in India
Despite our relentless efforts, we still find ourselves needing to shout from the top of the Burj Khalifa for our own country and fellow men to recognize our achievements. Long overdue, indeed!
Women in any field—be it sports, entertainment, business, or jobs—are often tagged and labeled as trying too hard to succeed. And if we do, the so-called "patriarchal society" around us is quick enough to take full credit for supporting us in our endeavors. It seems that our perseverance, efforts, skill, and knowledge are all just a waste if our "men supporters, fraternity" didn't bless us with their allowance. We still need verification, particularly by men, to celebrate our achievements!
The worst part is that even our female fraternity quickly joins the men's bandwagon to judge us. Any achievement a woman has is attributed to the men around her and the society that "let her" do it. Sad, but true, we are in the 21st century.
As a woman who has navigated the challenging landscape of business , being a lone female manufacturer in garment industry , I have seen this firsthand. It’s not just about breaking the glass ceiling; it's about ensuring the fragments don't rain down on us, cutting into our spirit and diminishing our accomplishments. Our journey is filled with unspoken struggles, silent battles, and unacknowledged victories.
We must change this narrative. Our successes are our own, born of hard work, dedication, and undeniable talent. We need to stand united, amplifying each other's voices and celebrating each other's wins. It’s time for society to recognize that women are not successful because they are "allowed" to be; they are successful because they deserve to be.
Let’s continue to strive, thrive, and inspire future generations of women to achieve greatness, undeterred by outdated norms and biased judgments. Together, we can redefine what it means to be a successful woman in India.
