I'm thrilled to announce the publication of my latest research article in the Indian Geotechnical Journal titled "A Holistic Study on Seismic Hazards in Bhubaneswar City, India, Integrating Probabilistic and Deterministic Methodologies." This study aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of seismic hazards in Bhubaneswar by combining both probabilistic and deterministic approaches. I believe this research can significantly contribute to our understanding of seismic risks and aid in better urban planning and disaster preparedness in the region. 🔍 Bihar's Chirand - The Neolithic Discovery Bihar's Chirand, a mesmerizing archaeological site with a 4000-year narrative! 📜 This 'rising sun' of India's Neolithic culture, as termed by archaeologist FR Allchin. 🕰️ Chirand's cultural sequence spans Neolithic, Chalcolithic, Northern Black Polished Ware-associated, Historical, and Late Historical periods. 🏠 Neolithic settlers crafted circular houses on the Ganga's alluvial deposit, showcasing advanced societal structures. Excavations revealed bone tools, arrowheads, intricate bone ornaments, and a diverse array of beads, connecting Chirand to a vast trade matrix. 🌾 Evidence of rice, wheat, barley, and masoor cultivation during Period I reflects an indigenous cultural evolution around 2400 BCE. 🎣 Fish, a dietary staple, further illuminates the complexity of early farming societies in eastern India. 🏞️ Although Chirand is threatened by the encroaching Ganga, ongoing excavations open a window into eastern India's fascinating past. #Archaeology #IndianHistory #CulturalEvolution 🇮🇳

The Iron Pillar in Qutub Minar Complex, Delhi has stood the test of time without rusting for over 1600 years. It is an incredible example of ancient India’s advanced metallurgy techniques which is still wondered worldwide. Studies have revealed that Iron Pillar is composed of wrought iron and possess high phosphorous content. It also lacks sulphur and magnesium. This has helped the pillar survive corrosion for centuries.
