Following on from yesterday's #PeopleMakeRoofing video with Steve Little, I wanted to share Michelle Boykin's story about how she began her journey into the roofing sector. In this clip, David talks about a common theme we hear on our calls—that many people enter the roofing industry by following a family member. He asks Michelle how it all started for her, and her story is very different, much like Steve's was. Michelle's journey into roofing is a testament to the unexpected paths our careers can take and the incredible opportunities that arise when we least expect them. From working in property management to becoming a receptionist, to now being the COO of Rackley Roofing Company, Inc. It's not always a childhood dream to work in roofing. Most people don't grow up wanting to be roofers, or to work in roofing but the industry is full of rewarding and fulfilling career opportunities. One of the best parts of building Plum is witnessing people who've taken a bet on us grow along with us. They're our biggest moat, and I admire seeing them pick newer problems to solve with the same enthusiasm as day one. Wanted to take this opportunity to give a shoutout to four of our Plum-bers who completed three years this July. ⭐ Sharvan was one of our first interns. Over the last few years, he's picked up all kinds of growth problems — from designing some of the best landing pages to building workflows for Plum Business to healthcare calculators. ⭐ Puneet is our customers' favourite. Account management is a high-pressure role, but he approaches every request and challenge with a 'ho jayega' attitude. And he gets it done. ⭐ Rishabh's answer to everything, from a football game to building a top sales function, is always 'I'm in'. His ability to win over clients in the most stressful situations has been exceptional. ⭐ Sidhanth's biggest strength is his patience and empathy, which has helped him build excellent relationships with everyone in the team and our customers. Nothing but gratitude to be building Plum with such people, who are just not champions in their own right, but also role models for everyone else in the team.
