What I love about materials science is that even minute changes in alloy composition changes the T-T-T diagram. Understand T-T-T diagrams helped me appreciate in my bioengineering phd how small changes in biological interactions in the body have profound influences in genetic expression and phenotype. Imagine what new levels of understanding and acceptance for life’s amazing diversity we would have if we could understand biological phenotypes as well as we understand T-T-T diagrams. #materialsscience #biology #medicaldevices
