10 October 2024 Every year, thousands of schools, companies and communities come together to make World Mental Health Day that little bit brighter by wearing something yellow and donating to YoungMinds. Right now, the world is a really tough place for children and young people to grow up in. This World Mental Health Day, wear yellow with thousands of others across the UK and raise money to show young people that they’re not alone with their mental health. 🧠 Advocating for Men's Mental Health: Join Us in Supporting WNOW 💙 As a passionate advocate for men's mental health, I’m proud to share the work I’m doing with WNOW - When No One's Watching. This incredible charity is dedicated to supporting mental wellbeing, breaking down the stigma around mental health, and providing resources for men in need around Australia and the World! Next Friday, I’ll be walking 60km to raise both awareness and funds for this important cause. Men's mental health has long been under-discussed, and it’s time to shine a light on the challenges men face in managing their mental health. Whether it’s societal pressure, isolation, or the stigma surrounding asking for help, it's crucial we start the conversation and create a supportive environment for everyone. This walk isn’t just about going the distance physically, but about going the distance to ensure that men know they’re not alone in their struggles. I’m asking for your support — not only through donations, but by spreading the message that it’s okay to not be okay, and that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. 💙 How You Can Help: - Donate to support WNOW's life-changing work through the below link 👇🏻 - Share this post to raise awareness about the importance of men's mental health. - Join the conversation and encourage the men in your life to seek support when needed and reach out for a chat with me. Together, we can make a real difference. Thank you for supporting this vital cause! 🙏 #mensmentalhealth #wellbeing #support

We’ve published 17 blogs this year and we hope you’ve found something interesting in them. Here’s Beckie’s favourite two: Words Matter – “because I firmly believe in 'know better, do better' and it is an example of how listening, learning and changing is so important in terms of equality and respect for others.” The Invisible Pandemic – “a great look at mental health in the UK and highlighting the work of some much needed charities.” You can read these blogs and more on our website: https://lnkd.in/eT4HN6KH #thecharityspark #blogroundup #2024blogs #charityconsultancy #domoregood

Mental health is a vital aspect of our overall well-being, impacting how we think, feel, and interact with others. It's essential to prioritize self-care, seek support when needed, and foster open conversations about mental health challenges. Remember that it's okay to ask for help, whether through friends, family, or professionals, and that taking small steps toward managing stress and anxiety can lead to significant improvements. Let's create an environment where mental health is openly discussed and valued, reminding ourselves that we are not alone in this journey. At Cleveland Cable Company, we believe in giving back to the community and supporting causes that matter. This month, we’re proud to support the Headlight Project, an organisation dedicated to mental health support and suicide prevention. As we observe #InternationalCharityDay today and #WorldSuicidePreventionDay approaches, we encourage everyone to raise awareness and help break the stigma surrounding mental health. Together, we can create a brighter, safer future 💙 🔗 Learn more about how you can get involved and donate here: https://lnkd.in/ecStKvR3 #MentalHealth #MentalHealthAwareness #Charity #SocialImpact #ClevelandCable
