Take a deep dive into the sprawling family of mahogany and learn why we're changing how we think and talk about the "king of woods." https://tylrgt.rs/Mahogany
Great article Scott, covering an often misunderstood collection of woods called "mahogany". There are many guitars out there in the marketplace that are called mahogany but actually contain no mahogany at all. Is there an ethical reckoning coming for those manufacturers given the intense focus on deforestation and detailed import/export documentation?

In this video, I explore a fascinating sight—a massive banyan tree that has been transformed into a giant bonsai, adorned with numerous orchids hanging from its (once green) branches. 🌳✨
Banyan trees are known for their sprawling canopies and extensive aerial roots, making them unique and majestic additions to any landscape. However, living under one of these colossal trees can come with its own set of maintenance challenges. By cutting off all of its green leaves and significantly reducing its size, this banyan tree has been shaped into a manageable, bonsai-like form. This dramatic pruning helps reduce the maintenance required to manage its vast canopy and falling debris.
Additionally, the tree has been beautifully decorated with orchids, adding a touch of elegance and color to its sculpted form. Ensuring these orchids receive adequate water is crucial for their health and vibrancy. In this video, I’ll also share some tips and techniques for effectively watering orchids that are mounted on trees.
Interestingly, banyan trees are incredibly resilient and can live for centuries, with some specimens being over 200 years old. Despite the aggressive pruning and transformation into a giant bonsai, this tree remains unharmed and continues to thrive. The careful shaping and addition of orchids not only control its growth but also enhance its aesthetic appeal.
Join me as I delve into the reasons behind this unique tree-shaping technique, explore the beauty of the orchids, and demonstrate how to ensure they get the water they need. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and hit the bell icon for more intriguing videos! 🌿🔔
