The first Gold Refinery and Mint the Country had was fully owned and operated by a PNG Company. Why is Marape going to foreigners like we never had a refinery and mint before?!? We have enough local investors like Resource LOs, local Gold Buyers, Superfunds, etc...who can participate in this economic game changer when offered the opportunity to invest! Dear PMJM, if you are serious about TakeBackPNG, this Investment should be reserved for PNG nationals only. #Goldrefinery #Goldbullion #Goldmints #Takebackpng #economy

The idea/intention to have a Gold Bullion in country is good, but to have foreigners/undisclosed/unknown figures as shareholders is malicious for the country.

Superfunds as potential investors is a good suggestion as the bulk of PNG taxpayers will be shareholders via the superfunds.

Very true. We have the money to get into this business as you have pointed out and we dont need foreigners to run this for us.

The once defunct Metal Refinery Operations (MRO) is already there so why don't the government kirapim em gen instead of reinventing the wheel again.

And the future owners are not named, live off shore and not controlled by PNG laws. No corruption in this.
