What is similar between a wedding and a funeral? They are both big life events for families. Both are times when pictures are taken to remember the event and shared to celebrate the people those events are celebrating. Both are times of gathering families together and a great time to get those multi-generational photos you might not get other than at a family reunion. One issue many families encounter is not being able to find the pictures they want to use. Another is that there are so many images on multiple devices that they get overwhelmed by gathering them together. How did it come to this that we can dehumanize people to such an extent that human rights equality international humanitarian law no longer matters.. acts of terrorism against civilian populations can never be acceptable but no one did this to civilian populations when it came to the IRA or ETA and I've worked in counterterrorism enough to have heard the phrase I'm sorry but this terrorism is different no it's not! Terrorism is terrorism we've all discussed the definitions: Substate Terrorism Domestic Terrorism International Terrorism State-Sponsored Terrorism Religiously Motivated Terrorism Ethno-Nationalist and Separatist Terrorism Ideological Terrorism - Left-Wing - Right-Wing Lone-Wolf Terrorism Cyberterrorism Narco-Terrorism Bioterrorism But civilian populations must always be protected under international humanitarian law otherwise we have completely lost the plot and are headed towards something much more scarier not just for us but for future generations.
