Gosh. August 24 was the 19th anniversary of when Lucas Brizuela and I founded tbo in #cordoba, #argentina. And what an amazing 19 years it's been! Some highlights along the road: 2005 - 34 people were hired as full time employees in the first year of tbo. 2008 - tbo obtained it's first international quality certification (ISO 9001:2008). Today tbo is one of a handful of #translation, #localization and #interpreting companies in the world to have five quality certifications (ASTM F3130-18, CAN/CGSB-131.10-2017, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 17100:2015, ISO 18587:2017). 2011 - #Lima, #peru office was opened by Matias Brizuela, our first international expansion. 2017 - #kyiv, #ukraine office was opened by Gabriel Clavero, Caloã de Sá Gouvêa, Eugenia Poidomani, and Fernando Joaquín Cabaña followed by research and ground work by Sebastian Hunziker, Lucrecia Jarab and Ezequiel Coeli Canobbio. 2018 - #hochiminhcity, #vietnam office was opened by Lucrecia Jarab. Visiting Vietnam is still on my personal pending to-do list. Gotta go in 2025! 2023 - Viva Mexico! After years of delibeation, tbo finally (!) opened an office in #monterrery, #mexico. 2023 Highly successful rebranding of Translation Back Office into tbo, tbotalent, tbolab, tboplay (games), tbomedia and tbolive (interpreting). What's next for tbo? Shortly we will launch @tbodev, under the leadership of Alejandro Serfaty, tbo COO! Watch this space for exciting breaking news about our innovative application development and dev talent offering! Time flies! LinkedIn's character limit means that I will write about my personal journey at tbo in a separate post. Why didn't I write this post on August 24? It was a Saturday and I was at a goovy wine tasting organized by Asociación Argentina de Servicios Lingüísticos (AASL) in the sunny but frigid mountains of #Mendoza, Argentina's premier wine district... Anyway, I don't write posts on the weekend. #ai, #chatgpt etcetera were not used to compose this piece. It all came from your's truly.
