The future for dealers is transitioning from brand/ location to customer share of wallet and services like the one offered here by Mark are the key to keeping your customer firmly in your orbit and everyone profiting from this relationship . I’ve known Mark and long time and was an early investor in one of his successful start ups and the 2 things Mark knows better than anyone else , the importance of the customer to the dealers future and how to retain and profit from that relationship. For decades specific geography dictated the relationship between dealer and customer , they were interdependent as the ICE tied the customer to the location . This also required dealerships to be “ people dependent“ businesses , making people 70% of all costs , 100% of gross generation . The change in drive train is slowly fracturing this necessity , to get ahead of this change , the industry is changing . The current consolidation is about building scale , putting the customer at the centre of the dealership group universe and creating a more brand agnostic environment to keep a greater share of customer wallet . Therefore for dealer groups , Marks service is essential for a couple of reasons , using technology it ties the customer into the dealerships orbit , it rewards the customer transactionally and regularly and provides the dealer with an ongoing annuity . Dealers are transactional businesses which has always impacted their values , having to “ win “ your gross each day comes with a certain level of precariousness. Mark now gives the dealers the ability to tap into an ongoing annuity which changes them from transactional gross based to continual gross , even when the customer is nowhere near the dealership . Do this for one dealership it’s a nice to have , own 100 dealerships and it’s a major income stream . This changes the value equation of a dealership group signicantly . This service aligns with the direction of the industry and allows dealers to connect their customer directly into their dealership ecosystem . Done properly by dealers this is a major point of difference
