Hey everyone! I just wanted to share my experience of participating in the 1st intra moot court competition held at GLA University. Even though I only made it through the preliminary round, I walked away with so much knowledge and inspiration.
It was an amazing opportunity to test my skills and see how far I could go. As they say, “Success is not the destination; it’s the journey.” This competition was a reminder that the real win is in the growth and learning that comes from trying something new.
Although I didn't qualify for the final rounds, I discovered some valuable insights:
-Teamwork and Collaboration: Working with my team was a valuable experience in collaboration. It reminded me of the African proverb, “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together.”
-Learning from Others: Watching others compete taught me new strategies and approaches. It reminded me of the quote, “When you learn, teach; when you get, give.”
-Resilience is Key: Even when things didn’t go as planned, I realized that persistence is what keeps us moving forward. "It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get back up." - Vince Lombardi
Even though I didn't progress to the next round, I’m grateful for the opportunity to participate. It pushed me to think critically and advocate effectively. I’m looking forward to applying what I've learned to future competitions and courses. For anyone thinking about joining a moot court competition, I highly recommend it. “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” Keep stepping, keep learning, and keep growing! 🚀
