Based on today’s #AI_and_future_of_work class where we looked at Large Action Model (LAM). I am greatly fascinated by an article by Rima Sabina Aouf titled “Rabbit reimagines the digital experience with AI-powered R1 device” where she highlighted that the #RabbitR1, is a groundbreaking AI-powered device unveiled at CES, challenges the dominance of #smartphones by offering a simplified, AI-driven digital experience. Developed by US start-up @Rabbit in collaboration with @Teenage Engineering, the R1 functions as a pocket-sized assistant capable of executing complex tasks like booking flights and editing images through natural language commands and a pixel art-styled interface.
Unlike traditional smartphones, the R1 operates on a natural language-centered approach, powered by Rabbit's custom AI known as a Large Action Model (LAM). This innovative AI not only generates text responses but also performs actions on behalf of users across various apps without requiring custom integrations. The device's industrial design, inspired by the @Tamagotchi, features a touchscreen display, a touch-to-talk button, and a rotating camera for computer vision tasks.
Rabbit emphasizes security and user control by incorporating features like a touch-to-talk button to avoid constant surveillance and encryption to protect user data. The device does not store user credentials and processes data within data centers, reducing power consumption and cost.
Despite its capabilities, Rabbit positions the R1 as a complementary device rather than a smartphone replacement, highlighting its evolution from app-based systems. Since its debut at #ces2024 , Rabbit has received over 30,000 pre-orders for the R1, signaling significant interest in AI-powered devices.

1moMy TV is not working since last 5 days. There is no support from customer care, only continue. Wait for call. Part is not available. You will have to wait for 10 more days. Is the service of TCL company so bad that it does not provide customer support and there is no technical support.???
