𝗛𝗬𝗗𝗘𝗙 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 (𝗠𝗖𝗠) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 (𝗣𝗥𝗠𝟭) 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘁𝘄𝗼-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝗲𝗵𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 Ü𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗻. “The European Hypersonic Defence Interceptor” (EU #HYDEF) is a project co-funded by the European Union, under the European Defence Fund, and Belgium, Germany, Norway, Poland and Spain. OCCAR has been entrusted the management of the EU HYDEF project by the European Commission (EC) and the participating states.   The Mission Concept Milestone (MCM) is part of the Pre-Feasibility Phase and the technical objective is to agree on the mission statement and the Concept of Operations (CONOPS). During the MCM, the consortium has consolidated the requirements collection, initial concept ideas and system options while providing a rough performance estimation to the users. The first version of the CONOPS has been approved. European Defence Agency EDSTAR standardisation expert groups kick off new cycle of activities A new cycle of #EDSTAR expert groups to select best practice standards and propose recommendations has been launched for the following five technical areas: 🔹 Information Technologies – Cyber 🔹 Armoured Land Vehicle Technology 🔹 Fluid Handling Systems 🔹 Ammunition Technologies 🔹 Disposal of Munitions The work of expert groups on the European Defence Standards Reference System (EDSTAR) is key to assist European armed forces and the harmonisation of standards to support the EU’s Defence Technological and Industrial Base #EDTIB, Member States' procurement, capability development, and interoperability of defence projects and activities. In high-intensity conflicts, forces engaged in the field face numerous risks of attack, which can occur at any time during operations or target operational bases.

Today at #Eurosatory, we had a dynamic exchange on “Cooperative planning to concrete projects” with the European Defence Agency and OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation). Our panel explored current challenges raised by the new geopolitical context and the strategic and tactical approaches the three organisations could leverage to increase synergies and involve the #European industry to strengthen capacity and maintain resilience. 💬 David Colliquet, NSPA Deputy Director of Life Cycle Management stated: "NSPA has hands-on experience of aggregating national demands in a multinational framework. This clearly yields great results and generates significant economies of scale and savings.
