Our Woodside Evening Autotest, the James Pringle Autotest, is one of the most eagerly awaited events in our calendar. This year our 2023 Club Championship Awards, as well as the prizes for the 2024 TDC Irish Classic Retro will be presented after the autotest. It promises to be a motorsport evening of high precision driving and social catch-ups. We have chosen to use this event to support The Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Support charity, Féileacáin, in recognition of the incredible work they do. For those who might like to make a donation to this great cause, in person donations can be made on the evening, or virtual contributions can be made here - https://lnkd.in/ebgEHjjr Full details, regulations and entry here: https://lnkd.in/erq8Jn3u #MotorsportIreland #Autotestingireland #grassrootsmotorsports #peespeedphotography #Féileacáin

Bikes for Kids Wisconsin • Dane County Parks Commissioner • Sault Tribe Ojibwe (Anishinaabe) • Former Alder City of Monona
Something happened this year at Bikes for Kids WI, the floodgates opened and we saw a steady stream of people in need of low-cost transportation who were unable to afford bikes on their own, more than ever before. The 2,500 bikes we've given away in 2024 have been distributed to all people in need, not just kids. Giving bikes to kids under the age of 11 is a critical part of our work because, if you don't have a bike as a kid, you won't have one as an adult. Beyond age 11, kids are often too embarrassed to learn to ride and they become focused on cars as transportation although they've yet to learn how expensive it is to own a car as those costs go far beyond the initial price of the vehicle. And yes, kids do use their bikes for economic mobility. Kids are often eager to work but when you're too young to drive, a bike provides access to those opportunities. They also help kids get to school and they reduce truancy for many of the kids we serve. Bikes provide access to opportunities. They are so much more than just a recreational option for the people we serve--they are a lifeline. Operation Fresh Start became a new distribution partner for us this year and that's how we connected to Calio and King, the two boys who helped us reach the new milestone of 2,500 bikes given away in 2024. I'll drop a photo of the boys and their bikes in the comments. You will love seeing those smiles! 😊 #transportation #economicmobility #independence #freedom #opportunities #healthyfamilies #healthykids
We just reached a new milestone in 2024—we have now distributed 2,500 bicycles this year alone. That puts our total since 2017 to 12,500 bicycles distributed to financially challenged people in the state of Wisconsin. 💥 If you would like to support our work, you can make a financial donation at bikesforkidswi.org or you can volunteer with us here at the bike center. Thank you to all our donors, community partners, and volunteers who’ve helped make this work possible. A worked with a charity lottery where the packages were something like: -1 ticket for $20 -3 tickets for $40 I can tell you, unequivocally, there were purchases made (without the 3-ticket package having sold out), where someone would buy two single tickets for $40 in a single transaction. And it wasn't isolated, either - it was a relatively consistent pattern. I understand that some people will buy single tickets separately hoping for numbers that aren't close to each other (despite, mathematically, that not making a difference). But these were on a single transaction when the option existed to get another ticket for the same price. #fundraisingoperations #charitableraffles #nonprofitlife

In 2019, for that year's Rally North America event, I had my car wrapped. The idea was simple; I wanted to draw attention to the cause. More than one cause, really. The first cause, of course, was the Rally itself. Our place in the starting grid for each day of the event is dictated by how much money we raise for the charity. The more visibility I had, the more opportunity I had for fundraising. The other cause was quite a bit more personal; '661' the date of my oldest son's birth. The colors teal and purple to support suicide prevention awareness. It worked; the Disco Bimmer got attention. And we raised, as a group, more than $220,000 for Camp Sunshine that year. I proudly drove the Disco Bimmer into Camp Sunshine there at Lake Sebago - behind a green Delorean (my bad - Dillorean), a red Challenger dressed as Lightning McQueen, and more than 75 other similar vehicles. We looked like a collection of full-scale Hot Wheels cars. It was a highly emotional day meeting the kids and the Camp Sunshine staff - and we can't wait to do so again this year, though I no longer own that BMW. Please help me out by hitting Like and, if you think the cause worthy, repost to your networks. All donations, large or small, are hugely appreciated and roundly celebrated. My goal for this week is to raise $250 through our donation page, which is linked below. All proceeds go directly to Camp Sunshine and you will receive a receipt for tax purposes. 🏕 ☀ This post is related to Rally North America's 2024 Sunshine Rally. As we do nearly every year, my wife and I are participating under the team name Slightly Lost. Our goal is to raise as much money for the chosen #charity as we possibly can; please help us make a difference for the kids at Camp Sunshine by contributing at our Team Page. Link in the Comments. For more information, or if you represent a business that would like to get exposure during the event, DM me. #fundraising #foragoodcause #rallynorthamerica #campsunshine #slightlylost661

You've had promoters of what you call NIL collectives. Essentially, an organization would be formed to pool money to pay out NIL deals to athletes. If you were a booster of a particular school and wanted your school to bring in some of the top athletes, the play was to contribute to these pools or collections. Yourself and others would pull the money together, and then that collective would turn around and pay the athletes as an incentive to come to the school. The tax implications of that play were that these collectives were created as nonprofits. So anytime boosters or supporters would contribute to these collectives, they were treated as charitable contributions. And as a result, they'd be able to deduct those contributions they made to the collective on their taxes. #NILCollectives #Boosters #TopAthletes #PooledFunds #IncentivePayments #Nonprofits #CharitableContributions #TaxDeductions #NILDeals #AmateurAthletics #blackcpa #africanamericancpa #businessmanager #virtualcfo #taxbrackets #blackbusinessmanager #fractionalcfo #cpa #africanamericancpa #africanamericancfo #africanamericanaccountant #blackaccountant #blackownedcpafirm #blackownedaccountingfirm #nameimageandlikeness #nil

Great news about DRS. Interoperability apparently is the word of the day. Roll on 2027. I’m sure there will be a real smooth journey between now and then. But when DRS in whatever guise is implemented, I do hope this type of approach becomes the norm to benefit communities. I personally wanted a digital approach & DRS machines where customers would have the ability to donate their (or part of) deposit to local charities, where the containers were produced and consumed. This could potentially be a huge boost to charitable orgs and the 3rd sector. Helping the environment and your locality. Anyway this ⬇️ apparently is the norm in Amsterdam parks. Where consumers leave depositable containers for others less fortunate. In the UK, if only 1% of non redeemed deposits, (if set at 20p) were donated to charities and local organisations, they could receive over £50M each year.
