**Microsoft Confirms Its Paint 3D App is Being Discontinued in November** In a surprising turn of events, Microsoft has announced that it will be removing the Paint 3D app from its store in November. The app, which was once touted as the next big thing to replace the beloved MS Paint, is now facing deprecation. Paint 3D was introduced as part of the Windows 10 Creators Update, bringing with it a suite of new features that enabled users to create and edit 3D models with ease. Despite the initial excitement and the potential seen in its capabilities, Paint 3D has struggled to garner a substantial user base. Many users found it too complex for simple tasks, preferring to stick with the classic MS Paint for their basic graphic editing needs. Microsoft's shift away from Paint 3D indicates a broader trend in their software strategy, focusing on streamlining their product offerings and perhaps directing their resources towards more successful and widely used applications. For those who have utilized Paint 3D, this discontinuation means it's time to start transitioning their projects and exploring alternative tools. While MS Paint itself received a stay of execution after plans for its removal were scrapped due to public outcry, it seems that Paint 3D won't be as fortunate. This move reflects Microsoft's responsiveness to user preferences and their dedication to maintaining support for the tools that users truly value. If Paint 3D has been a part of your digital toolkit, now would be the perfect time to explore other creative apps available in the Microsoft Store and beyond. There are numerous alternatives offering varied features, ranging from simple graphic editors to robust 3D modeling software. As always, we can expect Microsoft to continue innovating and updating its suite of applications, ensuring users have access to the best tools available. Here's to looking forward to what they have in store next! Founder, Khorus - The Secret Weapon for your tech business 🚀 Exploring Creative Intelligence 🤖 Reformed Actor & Management Consultant 🎭
Cancel culture needs to apply to software monopolies. Here are 4 previously 'essential' creative software platforms (& alternatives) I'm looking to divorce this year: 1. Adobe Creative Suite: The familiar comfort of Adobe has been overshadowed by the emergence of more flexible, cost-effective alternatives. 2. Slack: Once a beacon of modern communication, now feels more restrictive than revolutionary. 3. Windows Explorer / Apple Finder: Navigating files shouldn't feel like a chore in the AI era. It's time for something more intuitive. 4. CHAT GPT: A brief, promising encounter that's left me questioning its depth and application. What others do I need to add to the list? #TechBreakUp #ConsciousUncoupling #DigitalTransitioning

I lost my consistency and took a long time to complete my course 5 that is, CREATING HIGH FIDELITY DESIGNS AND PROTOTYPES. But came back stronger and put my soul into my work. Through out this certification program I learned 1. Creating the mockups 2. Understand how to use a design systems 3. Participate in a critique session and iterate on designs based on that feedback 4. Create a high-fidelity prototype 5. Iterating on my prototypes based on feedback from a usability study and build case studies to showcase my projects in portfolio. #Google #coursera

I love it when emoji glyphs are vector have 3d, 2d and monochrome alternatives for them. This makes using them in ways that are more in tune to the respective brand's #design language more practical.... 🤓 Can't wait to use the new emoji system of Microsoft.... 😁 I also love how Peter [Principal Program Manager at Microsoft], Spencer [UX Engineer Manager], Jason [Principal Product Designer at Microsoft], Judy [Senior Program Manager of Microsoft Windows], Cassie [Windows Principal Art Director], Rod and Josh [ from Google] and Adobe [Adobe Font Development Kit for OpenType or AFDKO] came together for making this successful. Why compete when you can collaborate.... 🫂 The full article: https://lnkd.in/g-2GtfV2 [also the source of the image] #microsoft #windows11 #emoji #designcommunity
