As stated in an article published by Sandro Zolezzi and Keyssi Calderon Medina's article in ULEAD's revista LOGOS: "Zolezzi and Miranda (2020) show the impact of the massive arrival of foreign companies in the country after the multinational Intel made its first semiconductor export from Costa Rica in 1998. On November 13, 1996, Intel announced its decision to build its next assembly and test plant in Costa Rica, the first and only Intel plant in Latin America." This was not an easy task. I remember it clearly. However, this milestone set the foundation for our country's robust foreign investment landscape. Today, we are poised to usher in the next wave of investment attraction in this industry. With a proven track record, an ever-evolving business ecosystem, and strategic initiatives tailored to meet the demands of global enterprises, Costa Rica is ready to lead the way in the semiconductor and high-tech manufacturing sectors.
