𝗣𝗥𝗥𝗖 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀! “Could you please come to the office tomorrow?” This question did not trigger any alarms for the #PRRC, although she had issued a critical report a few days earlier. She arrived on time at the office, where a guy from the IT department asked for her laptop. Once he had handed it over, he ran off with it. Next thing, someone from HR told her that her contract had been cancelled immediately and asked her to leave. After this, lawyers got involved and it developed into a very ugly case. However, this was hampered because the PRRC no longer had access to her files. If you work as a PRRC, what do you think? • Do you think that Article 15(5) provides sufficient protection, even if a company takes hard action against the PRRC? • Do you think the PRRC should inform the authorities and/or the notified body about this situation and see how that is being resolved? • Do you think the PRRC could have done something to prevent this from happening? You can comment below. Join me in Rotterdam; first at the #𝗧𝗢𝗣𝗥𝗔 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 on 1 and 2 October, next at a 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗥𝗥𝗖 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝟯 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿. You have to register separately for this masterclass and there are only 𝟮𝟬 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 (and the first spots have been reserved already!). This masterclass will dive deep into how you best prepare for the challenges a PRRC may face. We will look into many things Article 15 and MDCG Guidance 2019-7 don’t address, but that are highly relevant for your role as a PRRC. This workshop is open to anybody who wants to learn about the role of the PRRC, it is not necessary to join the TOPRA Symposium. Further details: Location: Postilion Conference center (same location as the TOPRA Symposium); Time: 𝟵:𝟬𝟬 – 𝟭𝟳:𝟬𝟬 𝗖𝗘𝗧; Catering: drinks, some snacks, and lunch are included; You will receive a certificate of participation; Costs: € 475 excluding VAT And you will get the 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗥𝗥𝗖 𝗧-𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘁! Registration by sending an email to: 𝗥𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗱@𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴.𝗰𝗼𝗺

Webinar date for your diary - September 16 at 10.30am. Last year, the lang cat and Parmenion worked in partnership on an inaugural service impact study, looking to assess the day-to-day consequences that poor service has on advice businesses. We looked at things like the volume of clients the profession had to apologise to on behalf of the sector, where the profession would invest lost time due to service inefficiencies and whether the advice profession felt things were improving at all. This year, the study is back along with the addition of a special focus on transfer times. Here to discuss that particular issue is Martin Jennings from Parmenion, Marina H. (Operations Director of Herbert & Webster) and our very own Mark Polson. Join us for 45 mins on Monday 16th September at 10.30 and bring your questions and suggestions for the panel. Save your spot at the link below! The results of the new study will launch in November and if you’re in the advice profession, you can still take part by using the survey link below.
