Medical Construction & Design magazine covered the groundbreaking for Connecticut’s first Proton Therapy Cancer Center in Wallingford. A collaboration between Yale New Haven Health, Hartford HealthCare, and Proton International, this state-of-the-art, two-story facility will bring advanced radiation and proton therapy to the region. Spanning 25,000 sq. ft., it will include clinical, administrative, and support spaces. DPR Construction is building the facility with design partners Stantec, BR+A, and equipment vendor IBA. A landmark first dataset has been onboarded to the Wessex Secure Data Environment (SDE). This marks a major milestone for the new regional health research platform 👏 The data from University Hospital Southampton NHS FT (UHS) will support improvements in treatment for bladder cancer. The Wessex SDE is led by UHS in partnership with the University of Southampton. It is supported by Wessex Health Partners and involves other NHS and university partners across the region.
