Canada has been a leader in Geographical Information Systems and the GeoMatics industry for decades. I used ArcMap back in university - and ArcINFO on UNIX. 🌐 The skills I learned doing GIS and spatial data analysis are translating well over to learning AI. 🤖 - Especially vector databases because GIS deals with vector and raster data. Whether the data is spatial in a GIS (e.g. location of a utility pole), or just a data point (eg phrase/phoneme) in an AI vector database the data modelling and handling concepts are very similar. At the end of the day it's all data and engineering that can help people. ____ Alt for link image. Tombstone says "In loving memory of ArcMap 1999-2024". There are grey clouds below. Save the date: March 1, 2024 ArcMap is moving into extended support. No more updates. No more patches. However, ArcMap will still receive technical ArcMap changed the GIS game. And you need to ensure you have a plan in place if you are still on Map. Details to come, but join us on March 1 for a Celebration of Life for ArcMap as we celebrate all of those 9999 errors we got in the past. HERE is the link to the FREE funeral. Come bring your memories for an hour-long event. We will have breakout rooms to share our memories: https://lnkd.in/ghmSwtJY --Alt for link image.-- Tombstone says "In loving memory of ArcMap 1999-2024". There are grey clouds below.
