‘Here to help u’ proud to support 200,000 people and whānau
‘Here to help u’ is a smart tech solution that successfully enables whānau to access a wide range of free wellbeing support by simply submitting one help request online. It’s quick. It’s convenient. It’s help made easy...no judgement, no barriers, and no unnecessary complexity.
Since launching in 2020, we have helped over 200,000 people to get the support they need.
Behind that number sits whānau who are doing it hard and reaching out for support.
Behind that number sits our caring Connectors, who talk with and most importantly listen to whānau and learn their stories. We know that every case is more than just a number.
Behind that number is a team of community providers who do the hard mahi and provide the support - from financial mentoring through to counselling services. They also know that every case is more than just a number.
‘Here to help u’ is a community-led solution that makes getting the right help, at the right time, easy. Numbers are important - but it is the people behind them that matter.
We wanted to acknowledge the passion, dedication, energy, and collective mahi of the incredible ‘Here to help u’ team, the many community providers, and our funders that have made supporting 200,000 people and whānau possible.
Considered a total game changer for the sector, for people, whānau, and communities ‘Here to help u’ continues to lead the way and innovate, but always with the whānau it serves at the heart.
To celebrate we have a fantastic ‘Here to help u’ goodie bag packed full of our new merch, and old favourites, to give away to one lucky winner.
To win, simply let us know when you think the ‘Here to help u’ website counter will tick over to 200,000 people – will it be today or tomorrow – and what time? Simply comment below with your guess, and you are in with a chance to win!
Look at this cute River Otter. Here are some fun facts about them:
🌟 They are often beneficial to game fish since otters regularly eat non-game fish, reducing competition.
🌟 Touch and body posture are often used in communication, along with various vocal calls.
🌟 Sensitive whiskers help navigate murky water in search of food or obstacles.
You can adopt your own River Otter and help the Zoo support programs that help animals both at home and abroad. Each adoption lasts for a year and includes a personalized adoption certificate. Plus, higher-level adoptions come with extra surprises! 🎁 Whether you gift it to a loved one or keep it for yourself, your adoption makes a real difference.
In the spirit of the 10-10-10 initiative,
Team Shubhangini Dub, Chetan Sharma, Rithik Bedi, Rajbir Kaur, Aditya Soni ,Tauhid Alam, Arnav Garg, Vishal, Rishabh Tiwari, Priyanka Gupta
have embarked on a heartfelt mission known as "Paws for Good Health," dedicated to caring for our lovable animal companions, particularly the stray dogs facing tremendous challenges in their community. Witnessing the silent suffering of these animals, unable to voice their pain, they've come together to change that narrative. Their joint initiative focuses on providing essential care and support to stray dogs battling harsh weather conditions, aiming to significantly improve their lives and pave a pathway to a healthier future. Committed to a complete approach, they provide full medical treatment and sterilisation, ensuring long-lasting improvement. Partnering with the Humane People Bsr. group, they leverage expertise and local support to amplify their impact, supporting vital medical treatments, sterilization initiatives, and ensuring healthy nutrition. Engaging the youth in their hometown, they've witnessed tremendous passion and enthusiasm for helping these animals, inspiring others to volunteer. Through medical help, surgical care, and collaboration with local organizations, they've already impacted the lives of 30 dogs, with each intervention paving the way for a brighter, pain-free future. Together, they're changing lives, one paw at a time.

One thing we know about birding is that it changes your brain. Specifically, it strengthens the neurons responsible for noticing and recalling detail. We also know that spending time with birds can meaningfully improve well-being.
In my Binoculars to Binomials course, learners cultivate a birding practice, while learning about ways to use the data that comes from birds to tell stories, make tools, and reinforce their connection to the natural world.
The next two Binoculars to Binomials cohorts begin May 1st. There is a morning cohort, with meetings at 9am EDT, and a late cohort with meetings at 7pm EDT. Both are limited to 16 learners, and both are filling up already, with a little over two months to go before the first class.
I hope you’ll consider joining me. Maybe you’ve always wanted to try birding have been waiting for the right moment (this is it!). Maybe you’re already a birder and you want to find out how to strengthen your practice and broaden your horizons through data. Either way, I think you’ll get a lot out the experience.
You can find out more and register for the Spring cohorts at https://lnkd.in/eUDyWsKv
(I’m also very happy to answer your questions right here!)
One-to-One Intensive Adventure Therapy
Wild Sky programmes are the cornerstone of our adventure therapy approach.
Wild Sky is a programme of therapeutic intervention delivered in buildable blocks of 6 or 12 sessions. Each session is up to 4 hours in natural blue and green spaces. The participant meets with Philip, our Adventure Therapist for each session. We have a range of activity options on land and water, and lots of tasks, challenges and experiences to select from to suit the participant.
We don’t have a set programme, rather, we build a programme for the individual participant. Each activity, task, and setting on sessions is selected to enhance the experience for the participant towards fostering engagement and building trust in the space.
Wild Sky
We don’t set out to push participants to their ‘limits’ or out of their ‘comfort zone’. The aim is to lay down foundations of a safe space so that talk therapy can emerge if and when the participant is ready.
Our Wild Sky programmes tend to appeal to people seeking, or in need of, therapeutic work who are reluctant to engage in ‘traditional’ or group-based therapy.
Through the Wild Sky programme, a range of transferable skills and strategies for life, self-care, and resilience are explored, and participants draw on those that appeal to them to adopt into their personal ‘toolkit’ for the future. #adventuretherapy
