Sports: The Foundation of Lifelong Success “Sports are not just games; they are life lessons in motion. They teach us the art of collaboration, the strength of discipline, and the resilience to rise after every fall. On 14th December 2024, we proudly celebrated our 10th Annual Sports Day, a vibrant testament to our commitment to building future-ready individuals. This event was more than just a display of athleticism; it was a reminder of the critical role sports play in education and personal development. At WeCan Schools, we strive to create a balanced education where sports and academics go hand in hand to prepare students for life’s challenges. We’d love to hear your thoughts: • Are we prioritizing sports as much as academics in our schools and homes? • How can sports contribute to addressing modern challenges like stress and digital dependency? • Can we use sports to instill lifelong values like perseverance, leadership, and teamwork? #WeCanTogether #AnnualSportsDay #SportsForLife #HolisticEducation #BuildingLeaders #FitnessCulture #FutureReady #WeCanSchools

Thinking of waiting until spring season to get noticed by college coaches? Here’s why that’s a BAD move if you’re a 2025 grad 👇 During high school season, college coaches are deep in their own schedules. They’re not traveling to random high school games. They might occasionally show up for a specific player, but only if it’s convenient with their packed calendar and they REALLY need to see the kid. And the reality is, most coaches want their recruiting classes pretty much filled before high school season even begins. For higher-level programs, this is almost guaranteed. So, where does that leave seniors still hoping to make an impression? ➡️ Pre-season showcases are your best shot. Right now is when coaches are locking in their classes and deciding which new talent they’ll focus on for their last few spots. Once their season wraps up, their attention quickly shifts to the transfer portal—meaning fewer opportunities for high school recruits. If you’re serious about getting noticed, the time to act is NOW. Don’t wait until it’s too late. DM me “recruit” for our free recruiting guide and a roadmap to maximize your chances while there’s still time. - #baseballrecruiting #baseball #collegebaseball #d1baseball #prepbaseball

24 years ago, around this time of year, we wrapped up our final high school track meet at Benilde-St. Margaret's School . As students, none of us knew how much our lives would change in the coming months and years, but the love for sports has always connected us. Coach Will invited me to throw shot put before I even knew what it was. Adwin next to me is my good friend from Saint Lucia, whom I haven't seen since graduation. Angie from Jamaica, whom I continued to compete with at the University of St. Thomas , will always be my teammates. A thrower and 2 sprinters... The bonds kids make in sports can last a lifetime. As a parent, I've come to see how important team sports are for kids. They get to learn so many life skills. Maybe one of the most important is how to work with people who are different from them: from different backgrounds, different points of view, and from different cultures. I get to work every day helping kids get better at sports and helping the clubs they play for share valuable feedback on what the kids need to do to improve. If my kids' coach says they need to run faster or do plyometrics, then they know what to do, and I can also help them improve. As a parent, how do you respond to feedback about your kids? I know I personally still love coaches yelling at me to go faster or harder. As we get older, things in life change, but I will never forget my teammates and the memories we made together. 🌟 Empowering Student-Athletes Through Education, Protection, and Fair Profit Distribution 🌟 University Collectives are transforming the landscape of collegiate sports, but with great opportunity comes great responsibility. At the Player Protection Program, we partner with collectives to ensure student-athletes across ALL collegiate sports are supported in their NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) journey. Here’s how we can work together: ✅ Education: Equip student-athletes with the knowledge to navigate contracts, branding, and financial planning. ✅ Protection: Safeguard their rights and ensure compliance with NIL regulations. ✅ Fair Profit Distribution: Advocate for equitable opportunities that benefit athletes across all programs, not just the spotlight sports. By prioritizing transparency and fairness, we can build a sustainable NIL ecosystem that benefits everyone—athletes, universities, and collectives alike. Let’s lead the way in shaping a better future for collegiate sports. Ready to make an impact?
