The use of special test probes for testing components in the Internet of Things (IoT) is essential due to the unique and specific requirements of these devices. IoT components are often miniaturized and densely integrated, making traditional testing methods inappropriate or ineffective. Special test probes enable increased precision and better accessibility to the tiny circuit contacts. They also reduce the risk of damaging sensitive components during the testing process. In 2023, the number of active IoT devices worldwide exceeded 15 billion, with projections reaching approximately 30.9 billion devices by 2025. This exponential growth underscores the importance of reliable and precise testing to ensure the quality and functionality of IoT devices, which find applications in various sectors such as healthcare, smart homes, industry, and transportation. The use of specialized test probes is therefore crucial to meet technical challenges and ensure the performance of components in this rapidly expanding ecosystem. Cotelec can advise you on the choice of test probes in France, also in the field of the Internet of Things. Have you ever wondered how the Internet of Things (IoT) is transforming our daily lives? I'm excited to share that I've recently obtained the nRF Connect SDK Fundamentals certification from Nordic Semiconductor. This certification has deepened my understanding of IoT development and its potential to revolutionize various industries. The nRF Connect SDK is a powerful tool for developing applications on Nordic Semiconductor's nRF52 and nRF53 Series SoCs. These systems are at the heart of many IoT devices, from wearable technology to smart home systems. Understanding how to leverage this SDK can significantly enhance the efficiency and functionality of these devices. One of the key takeaways from this certification is the importance of low-power consumption in IoT devices. Efficient power management not only extends the battery life of devices but also ensures sustainable and scalable solutions. This is crucial as we move towards a more connected world. Another critical aspect is the role of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) in IoT. BLE is a game-changer for wireless communication, offering robust connectivity with minimal energy usage. Mastering BLE through the nRF Connect SDK opens up numerous possibilities for innovative applications. Moreover, the certification emphasized the significance of secure communication in IoT. With the increasing number of connected devices, ensuring data integrity and security is paramount. The nRF Connect SDK provides robust security features to safeguard data transmission. I'm thrilled about the potential applications of this knowledge. From enhancing healthcare devices to creating smarter cities, the possibilities are endless. If you're interested in IoT development or looking to enhance your skills in this area, I highly recommend exploring the nRF Connect SDK. Feel free to like this post or leave a comment if you have any questions or insights about IoT and its future! #IoT #Bluetooth #Innovation

🇨🇳Why have 5G phone users exceeded 1 billion, but 5G IoT connections will only reach 100 million by 2027? By November 2024, China reached over 1 billion 5G mobile phone users, making up 56% of total mobile users. This rapid adoption of 5G underscores its role in connecting people. However, the expansion of 5G within the Internet of Things (IoT) sector remains in early stages. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology projects that by 2027, 5G IoT terminal connections will exceed 100 million. Currently, 5G IoT accounts for just about 2% of total cellular IoT connections, with 4G still dominating. This gap highlights the ongoing challenge for 5G’s role in industry applications. 4G will continue to lead for some time due to cost, infrastructure, and standardization barriers. Nevertheless, 5G technologies such as RedCap, designed for medium-rate IoT applications, are gaining traction. These innovations address needs that 4G cannot fulfill, offering benefits like low latency and high security, especially in industrial and private network settings. Looking ahead, the development of battery-free IoT and satellite IoT (IoT-NTN) presents significant opportunities. These technologies will enable cost-effective, scalable 5G IoT connectivity, particularly in remote or global applications. As standards evolve, these solutions will be crucial for expanding 5G’s reach across industries. In conclusion, while 5G has revolutionized mobile connectivity, its full potential will be realized when IoT connectivity scales. China’s focus on enhancing 5G IoT infrastructure will be key to unlocking 5G’s transformative impact on industries. 👉 https://lnkd.in/gB6yaHha #5G #IoT #Telecommunications #China #DigitalTransformation #Innovation
