When you buy an ASTM standard it will be digitally watermarked with your name. But my copy of F2508-2023 (published last week) doesn't have a watermark - because I was the Technical Contact and led its development! Seven-plus years of work: reference material selection, pilot testing, human slip research, tribometry research, selection of different reference materials, the "Super Interlaboratory Study", and the careful prep of tiles for ASTM sale as frictional references.
