Qiddiya City in Saudi Arabia has revealed plans for the world's first gaming and esports district, aiming to make Saudi Arabia a prominent player in the growing esports industry. The district, supported by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's initiatives, will have four venues for esports events, attracting around 10 million visitors each year. The Gaming & Esports District will feature gaming-themed apartments, hotels, and a large entertainment area spanning 100,000 square meters. It is designed to engage and inspire people of all ages, from professional esports players to casual gamers. The district will have four arenas with a total seating capacity of 73,000, including one of the world's largest esports stadiums with 5,300 seats and the largest indoor LED screen in esports. Covering over 500,000 square meters, the hub will provide space for esports clubs, training facilities, and headquarters for leading video game development companies. The goal is to position Saudi Arabia as a global esports hub by 2030, aligning with the National Strategy for Gaming and Esports. The district is expected to welcome up to 10 million visitors annually, contributing to the rapid growth of the gaming and esports sector. #SaudiArabia #Gaming #players #training #National #Prince
