𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟯 𝗼𝗳 𝟭𝟬𝟬-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 Human interaction is at the core of any software, and Salesforce is no exception. While the platform is powerful, it's the users who bring it to life. In Salesforce, users like sales reps, managers, IT specialists, etc. access the system, utilize its features, and interact with data based on their roles and permissions. In today's project, I created two different users and tested the deactivate and freeze functions. Deactivating a user is necessary when they no longer work with the company while freezing temporarily restricts a user's access to the Salesforce system without completely deactivating their account. Each user’s profile needs essential details like username, email address, first and last name, alias, nickname, license, and role (if applicable). Additionally, I assigned permission sets to the user(s), defining what actions they can perform and what data they can access. I also configured sharing settings to control how data is shared and accessed among users, ensuring that sensitive information is only available to those who need it. Embrace Change: Navigating the End of the Road for Salesforce Workflow Rules and Process Builder 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄. Salesforce has been encouraging its customers to switch to Flow. In March 2024, they gave the date for when we will hit the end of the road. I͟m͟p͟o͟r͟t͟a͟n͟t͟ ͟D͟a͟t͟e͟ Now we have a date!!! It's December 31, 2025. 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 • 𝘋𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘧𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦? No • 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯? Salesforce will no longer support issues or provide major fixes. At first glance, this might not seem to have much of an impact. Has the Salesforce administrator reviewed and recorded each workflow rule and process builder that is currently in use? If not, there is a chance that a crucial but unidentified automation could malfunction. Causing a loss in productivity until a Flow is built. 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘄 There are a lot of advantages to this change. H͟e͟r͟e͟ ͟a͟r͟e͟ ͟a͟ ͟f͟e͟w͟:͟ • It is possible to combine multiple automations into one, which will make things function more efficiently. • Outdated processes can be eliminated • Automations can be thoroughly documented and labeled for future support. • Flows can be written in a way that allows them to scale with the needs of your growing businesses. 🚀 Exciting Salesforce Tip: Creating Roll-Up Summary Fields with Lookup Relationships!   Do you use Salesforce and want to keep track of important data without writing complex code? Look no further! Today, I'll show you a simple yet powerful way to create a Roll-Up Summary Field when you have a Lookup Relationship.  Imagine you have two custom objects in Salesforce: "Property" and "Broker." Property is the child, and Broker is the parent, linked via a Lookup Relationship. You want to count all the properties rented by each broker. Let's make it happen step by step:  Step 1: Autolaunch Flow Setup  First, create an Autolaunch Flow that we'll use as a subflow. In this flow:  Use the "Get Record" element to fetch all Broker IDs from the Property object and store them in a variable.  Step 2: Loop Through Broker IDs  Next, add a Loop element to iterate through the Broker IDs.  Step 3: Update Property Count  Inside the loop, use an Assignment element to increment a "Number of Properties" variable by 1 for each property associated with the Broker.  Step 4: Update Broker Record  Finally, update the Broker Record using the "Update Record" element, incorporating the new property count.  Remember to save and activate your flow.  Step 5: Trigger Record Flows  To make this magic happen automatically, create three Record-Triggered Flows:  When a Property is created.  When a Property is updated.  When a Property is deleted.  In each of these flows, use your Autolaunch Flow as a subflow.  Now, whenever a Property record changes, the associated Broker's property count will automatically update!  Salesforce Roll-Up Summaries made easy with Lookup Relationships!
