Coffee Talk #CoffeeTalk with: Stijn ☕ ⚽ What are your hobby’s? In my free time, I like hanging out with my friends and girlfriend. We enjoy grabbing drinks, trying out new restaurants, and just having a good time together. In the other free time that I have, you'll often find me on the football field. I not only play football but also have the pleasure of coaching a youth team at Unitas'59. It's a great way to stay active and share my passion for the sport with others. 🍝 What is your favorite food? I’m a fan of almost everything, but if I had to choose, it will be the Italian cuisine. Fortunately for me, there are a lot of great Italian restaurants in Eindhoven! 🇺🇸 Where are you going on your next vacation? In October I will travel to the USA to do a roadtrip on the West Coast with my family. I’m really looking forward to it. 💻 How long have you been working at Technix? For only 2 months now, but in that time I’ve learnt a lot about the industry and Technix itself. Even though I’m still learning, I look forward to the future and all challenges that lay ahead. 🧑 What is your position at Technix? I’m a Recruiter. I'm learning a lot, which is one of the things I really love about my job. The variety in my work keeps me motivated and gives me plenty of opportunities to develop new skills. Plus, I get to be part of an great team where everyone is incredibly supportive and helpful. 🍹 What is your favorite drink? As I said, I enjoy going out in the weekend, and when I’m in the city of Eindhoven, my go-to drink is a “Baco”! (Bacardi Cola) 🐶 Do you have pets? I have a dog named Benton and a cat called Snoet. 🚴 Fun fact about me: Hard to name one! But I think as a real Dutch person I have to say: Everyday I grab my bicycle and ride 1,5 hours to work.

They say proof is in the pudding. And if there’s two things we love, it’s pudding and proof. As a creative engagement agency, we’re not just in it to create an exciting experience. We want to make sure our events deliver positive, tangible results. Like our recent trip to Oslo with SharkNinja to help them deliver an exhibition stand at Elkjøp Campus. We received glowing feedback from attendees but, more than that, a post-event survey showed that 79.2% of attendees rated the learning content and material 5 out of 5 - creating an average score of 4.76 out of 5! That’s a great result. And proof that our pudding does what it says on the tin. Can we push this pudding analogy any further? You bet, treacle! So, if you’re looking to create an event or experience that delivers concrete results, give us a shout. Sometimes we even have pudding in the office… #CreativeEvents #BrandAwareness #ColleagueEngagement

Embarking on my quirky professional journey back in high school as a freshman felt like stepping into a comedy-drama film with a hint of adventure. While my buddies were deep into textbooks and tests, I was out there, a wide-eyed teen with a knack for orchestrating events that ranged from slightly chaotic to downright memorable. And here's the kicker: I wasn't making a dime from any of it. That's right – from organizing lunchathons and fashion shows to coordinating company employee events, conferences, and festivals, I did it all purely for the love of the game. Who needs a paycheck when you've got a passion for bringing people together and making magic happen? Sure, there were moments when I felt like I was in over my head, like trying to wrangle a group of high schoolers and my family and friends into a cohesive event-planning team. Speaking with company CEO’s and VP’s seeing if they’ll give me a shot to host an event with them. And let's not forget the times when things went hilariously wrong – from mistaking the venue's loading dock for the main entrance to accidentally ordering enough balloons to float away to the moon and can’t forget accidentally destroying a ice sculpture by falling on it. But amidst the chaos and laughter, there was something magical about the experience. Each event taught me valuable lessons about resilience, creativity, and the power of community. And as I navigated my way through high school and beyond, those early experiences laid the groundwork for what would become my passion and my livelihood. Fast forward to today, and I'm proud to say that I've turned my love for event planning into a bona fide business. As one of the cofounders behind Atuiqe, I've honed my skills and built a team that shares my quirky sense of humor attention to detail and unwavering dedication to making every event unforgettable. So here's to the highs, the lows, and all the hilariously awkward moments in between. Because in the end, it's not just about the events we plan – it's about the journey that got us there, complete with its fair share of plot twists and punchlines.

I can still remember by first week at Rincon. For the first few days I did my best to look the part, business casual, a crisp tucked in shirt. Then one day, Frank (our facilities manager at the time) walks by my office and stops....welcomes me again to the company, then asks "When are you going to start wearing shorts?" It's been almost 8 years since Frank stopped by, but that simple comment, and the years of wonderful work that followed, represents the culture we have and will protect at Rincon. It's one that recognizes and encourages people to be live free, think free, and be who they are. This environment oozes innovation because we don't let the little things get in the way. For me, this means when I, or my team, have the chance to brief a visiting group on the work we do, who we are, and what the RIC is at Rincon, it's easy. There is nothing easier than being yourself. Ever considered moving to the other side of the world 🌏 to continue your career or business from a new location that you can experience new types of adventure from? 🚀 We've recently uprooted our comfortable life in Australia and re-based ourselves in Europe. It's been a crazy journey already 🎢 and many have asked for us to journal / blog about it to follow along. 📝 It's not just a personal journey (highly aware that this is a business platform, not Facebook! 😉), the headquarters of ScaleHQ is now also based in Europe so there's a company journey there that I'll unpack over the course of the blog. 🏢 We've launched the first edition of "From Kangaroos to Halloumi: Our Cypriot Adventure" on Substack. 🦘🧀 For those of you keen to follow the journey, click the link and you can drop your email if you'd like future editions straight to your inbox. 💌 https://lnkd.in/gRsjjPi4

Easy Things and Their Flipside. It is easy to be carried away with funfair and lose the substance. It's easy to take pictures and spread it online, without doing solid and transformational work. It's easy to pull together resources, while deploying the resources correctly, for incremental progress is tougher It is easy to fake a smile, yet be dying inside. The inside won't magically be fixed until attention is given. It is easy to spend on what will impress others, yet it doesn't mean satisfaction. It is easy to join the crowd. It is easy to be pressurized and give in even when your heart beats for something else. Yes, do funfair, but hold substance firmly and close to your heart. Yes, take pictures and have proofs, but ensure lives are truly changing, don't just cook up meaningless data. Yes, be great at mobilising resources, also understand how to do the most good, with any resource. Yes, smile and let it be the real joy from within. Yes, spend, but be sure it gives your soul the nutritious food of happiness and satisfaction. It is okay to join the crowd, yes accolades are good too but don't live or base your existent only for that. What your heart beats for, allow it to flow. In a state of flow, satisfaction flourishes. #YouAreLimitless.

Yesterday was an inspiring day as I delved into the inner workings of the Irish beauty industry through the Create Her program at IdeasLab, hosted by Yourells. Shadowing gave me invaluable insights into running a successful business in this dynamic field. Among the many lessons learned, three stand out: Community Building: I realized the immense value in making your business a true community hub for your clients. It fosters loyalty, trust, and a sense of belonging that goes beyond mere transactions. Thinking Big: It's essential to dream big and envision the possibilities. Ambition fuels innovation and drives growth in the beauty industry, where trends and techniques are ever-evolving. Balancing Big Dreams with Baby Steps: While thinking big is crucial, I also learned the importance of taking small, consistent steps toward my goals. Pausing to reflect on the progress made allows for appreciation of achievements and adjustments for the journey ahead. Armed with these insights, I'm excited to continue my journey in the beauty industry, embracing challenges, fostering community, and always striving for excellence. #BeautyIndustry #CreateHerProgram #Yourells #BusinessInsights #CommunityBuilding #DreamBig
