𝗥𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗱 𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘆 𝗥𝗶𝗷𝗻𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗧𝗢𝗣𝗜𝗖’𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗘𝗢 We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ronald van Gerwen as new CEO of TOPIC as of January 1st, 2025. Ronald will succeed Rieny Rijnen who will step down as CEO on the same day, after founding and leading the company for more than 28 years. Rieny will continue as member of the supervisory board for two days a week, supporting TOPIC where needed. Ronald will join the TOPIC family effectively as of October 1st, 2024. Starting in the role of COO for a period of three months to get familiar with TOPIC, the way of working and our customers. 𝗥𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘆: “I am convinced that with Ronald we have found a strong successor, to continue further growth of TOPIC. As an experienced CEO with years of experience in the embedded market, Ronald has the right spirit, drive and mindset to fulfill this position.” 𝗥𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗱: “The evolution of TOPIC over the past 28 years is impressive and I am proud to become part and contribute to the further growth. "Start with Why" The title of one of Simon Sinek's books that has had the most impact on our MD Owen Llanwarne. After a year in business, Owen put all the busy-ness to the side to document OTECSA's "Why". 🗣️"A few weeks ago, like a treasure from the past, I rediscovered some scrawled notes, 4 pages no less, where I had documented the plan for OTECSA's next few years, and defined our Why. This was timely because I was just about to interview several candidates for our latest role in the business. At the time of writing we had no staff, only a year of track record as an independent business, but already a very clear vision of why we were in business. What was delightful to see is that these ambitions are still aligned, and we are achieving what we planned nearly 5 years ago when this was written. As a business there's nothing more satisfying than seeing that staying true to your roots has succeeded, and it's even provided a model for growth and development... allowing us to serve more and more clients in high hazard industries". The key aims we talked all those years ago included: 🟠Be clients "go to" specialists, giving them the expertise they either don't have, or can't justify having in house 🟠Ensure we have consistent growth to fill our place in the market 🟠Add team members steadily and sustainability to support the demand for our services 🟠Aim not to compete, but to deliver our service to such a high quality that competition becomes meaningless And most importantly.... have fun along the way❗ We'll be welcoming new team members along on the journey soon, watch this space❗ #startwithwhy #processsafety #makeithappen
