In our final 2024 TechDiversity awards spotlight, we are taking a look at the ‘Campaign of the Year’ category. Previously called ‘Media, Marketing and Advertising’, this is the category for you if you work for any organisation and have been involved in creating and/or developing a campaign to support a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE+I) initiative, product or solution. 🌟Maybe you have created a social media campaign to create awareness of your initiative. 🌟Maybe you developed a fully inclusive advertising campaign, that was digitally accessible and used real people reflecting society. 🌟Maybe you made posters to support a significant inclusive day for internal promotion. Happy International Women’s Day! ❤️ Equal treatment of women and men is just the right thing to do, and it’s also good for business. It's no secret that our tech industry could do better on the diversity front, gender equity included. Sure, Australia's doing slightly better than the worldwide average with women in the workforce, but there's still a long road ahead, especially in tech. According to recent reports, women make up just 29% of the tech workforce and it's even tougher at the top – they represent only 18% of CEOs and 22% of board members in tech companies. But here's the good news – we're so proud to already be making strides in the right direction. Among our amazing team, 39% are women and 61% are men. And look at our leadership team – 45% women, 55% men. And of course, we celebrated this International Women’s Day in our office with donuts for everyone🍩🍩 We’re honoured to invite some clients today to an UN International Women’s Day Lunch celebration where we’ve heard from leaders and changemakers who are working to re-shape the system and remove the barriers so all women and girls can unlock their potential and drive better outcomes for us all. 🤝 Happy International Women's Day to ALL amazing women in my network! This morning, we came together at the #Microsoft office in The Netherlands to celebrate International Women's Day 2024, with some of the most brave, smart and caring people within our investor, partner and customer’s ecosystem. We are so grateful for your participation in this year’s event ‘Investing in Women: accelerate progress’! After the opening reflections of our CEO, Anke den Ouden, recognizing the crucial role that women play in driving innovation, economic growth and social change, we were delighted and inspired by the incredible speaker and innovation leader Enaam Ahmed Ali about the importance of leading organizations, teams and society, towards shifting the conversations (and actions) from inclusion to belonging, from power to responsibility and from one angle view to a full narrative. We closed off with an insightful conversation with a panel of leaders from our tech industry - Andy Lurling, Lisa Dillon, Mirjam van Olst and Naomi Smit - who shared their personal stories and experiences on various topics that resonates with me as a #womenintech.
