Discovering an early utility pole made from a complete tree, complete with porcelain insulators from the 1880s, is an extraordinary and rare find. Utility poles at that time were often made from whole trees, sans limbs, a practice that adds an extra layer of historical intrigue to such a discovery. These wooden poles, paired with the advanced porcelain insulators of the era, represent a fascinating intersection of natural resources and technological innovation. I knew the Boston area would provide an interesting story involving unimaginable history. This discovery perfectly complements the reason for my visit, which includes an analysis and understanding of the chemical makeup of advanced building coatings. By exploring the differences between aromatic and aliphatic compounds, binding agents, and comprehending interactions at a molecular level, I can appreciate how history and modern science intertwine in my work. This combination is what makes my work remarkable in so many ways.

I am excited to share that my scientific article "Moderate salinity stimulates root plasticity and growth parameters of date palm seedlings" has been published in the renowned Elsevier journal Rhizosphere, known for its high impact factor of 3.7 (Q1).
